Just shows how hard it is to keep that up over 38 games. Conceding 1 can suddenly turn into 5 over a short period of time. That team in 04-05 would concede one and then go on another run of not conceding.

I agree, they have been the most consistent but all this talk of them been a great Premier League team is very premature.

Has any manager ever have had a more difficult baptism (on paper) than Michael Carrick has had having to face #1 and #2 in the table in his first two games ... ?
