We basically won because we have better players, but as a team, it was a sh*te performance from us. There were so many mistakes, especially in possession deep in our own half. Our passive slow football should have cost us 3 or 4 goals.

Agree with some of what you’ve said but Jesus Christ I’m struggling to remember anything positive in any of your posts….. ever. We are nowhere near as bad as the levels you seem to think we are.

Today was a game where we were always going to rotate due to managing injuries to Caicedo and Enzo. Santos and Lavia weren’t great but the Manager has done a good job reacting to the first half. I’d certainly like us to be more expressive in our play but he got the job done in a comfortable second half.

Seriously the Maresca haters, and there so many of you on here, need to get a grip, yes he’s not perfect but we’re building an amazing young team here, have a bit of patience and support the team.

I’m not sure why you Maresca apologists think that giving someone patience should mean accepting mediocrity. Patience would be given if he was good enough, did you think Potter should have been given more time too?

That was such a weird game. Glad for the win but it's a joke how we've been getting red cards almost consecutively

Really hated the 1st half, we should be better than that as evidenced in the 2nd half.

We're lucky that Forest couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo. Even in the second half they missed a couple of sitters.

Absolutely bang on, we could, and should have been 2 down at half time, they missed 1 absolute sitter and at least 2 very good chances.

Not sure why we should celebrate him bringing on Caicedo and an actual striker to fix his complete f**k up of a 1st half..it happens all the time with him.

It's a worrying lack of discipline throughout the squad, it's like maresca has let them off with it so often there is no accountability.

Imagine players doing this under Jose, Conte, Ancelotti...

👍 Relieved to be going in goalless at halftime against Forest FFS . !

Then fans thinking we're title contenders at full time !!

Why would anyone advocate for more time for Potter? He was never going to have us top 4. Maresca has achieved that with a much less experienced squad.

False equivalency of the highest order

I literally praised Guiu when he came on, same with Estevao, so you can't have been looking far enough. If I see something sh*t, then I will say it's sh*t, and the majority of our performance was sh*t. We had a bright 10 minute period in the second half and won the game from it, but lets not pretend we didn't have a sh*t ton of luck in between. They missed a sitter, hit the bar and post from a shot, had multiple chances in the first half from our own mistakes. This came from the team in the worst form this season.

This has largely been the pattern this season and it's the reason why we lost to Brighton, United and drew with Brentford. When we play passive, we suffer.

A competent team smashes us today. We were lucky Forest players wanted Big Ange gone !!

There was nothing comfortable in the second half. We scored two goals and struggled to control the game to a point in which Forest could have drawn it easily or even get in front. Again, nothing comfortable about that second half.

Im pleased with the 3 pts but it could have been a grotesque result if Forest could have taken some of the gifts we gave them in the first half.

Not sure how we are sitting so high up the table but i'll take it. If we could gather up a bit of consistency and discipline who knows where we end up.

In the meantime may our luck continue. Up the Chels! and on to Ajax.

A terrible first half display of his making, he fixed his own f**k up, again. Were constantly being outplayed in 1st halfs leading to him having to eventually react to save our game. Hardly praiseworthy

Maresca's points total last season wouldn't have got him top 4 in 22/23. That after the squad had another 600M spent on it and the core had multiple seasons together.

The point is time should be earned, not a given. We should have cruised to top 4 last season with our squad. He achieved the bare minimum that was expected and people speak about him like he's the next Mourinho. He's more akin to AVB.

I keep hearing the phrase controlled football, I’m yet to see to much of it on the pitch.

I think we look all over the place at times.

200 passes going nowhere isn’t control to me.

I’ll take the win but Forest were poor. Hope Lavia stays fit cos once he’s up to speed, he needs games been out now for a while he’ll take some of the burden of Caicedo.

I’m not calling him the next Mourinho. Far from it. It’s his first big job FFS. I wanted him gone last season but once we won the trophies (albeit 2nd level) I decided to give him time and I can see improvement.

I think we’d have beaten both Utd and Brighton without the sending offs so we could easily be on 17 or 20 points sitting on the top of the league. You’d think we were absolutely sh*te if you listened to some of the comments on here.

Things aren’t brilliant that’s for sure but there is a massive difference to where we are in the league and some posters perspectives.

22-23 matters not one bit. What actually happened last season does and we finished 4th. I’ll take that especially with our form from Xmas to March.

Just to be clear. I watched the whole game. First half was sh*te but I thought we improved significantly in the second and ran out comfortable winners.

Which part is disagreeable to you?

We could be on 17 or 20 points, but we aren’t. We could have won the league last season, but we didn’t. We could have lined up without Gusto at CM today, but we didn’t.

There’s no way people watch us week in week out and can see improvement from the back end of Poch’s tenure.

A pre season friendly against PSG has given people far too much confidence to ignore the previous 6 months and everything we’ve seen since.

You agree that we played sh*t for 50% of the game. And yet wonder why some would be upset at Maresca for that? Turning up for half a game is not good enough.

Maresca is the one that chooses the team. He is the one who sends them out playing the same slow and uninventive rubbish week in week out. If he is sending them out and knowingly asking htem to play in this slow ans insipid manner - then there is every right to be angry at him.

As has been covered on here, any half decent team would have been ahead at half time against us today - and we would have been left with a mountain to climb. He is just lucky that Ange was more tragic than him.

didnt you see the contol? The gusto passes to forest players? The Lavia brainfarts that let in forest players to have a shot on goal. the 4376 passes between the defenders? Cruise control baby!

That reminds me - did your wife like the new car and fitted kitchen you put in - you know, after you drove the previous car through the kitchen wall?

....apparently, some of our fellow shed enders believe that all is ok and forgiveable, as long as you sweep the floor and fix the mess.....
