I find it really weird. If I f**k up at work I get told to sort it. If I then sort it I don't get praised for it. Just told not to f**k up again.

I’m not sure why you Maresca apologists think that giving someone patience should mean accepting mediocrity. Patience would be given if he was good enough, did you think Potter should have been given more time too?

For the first 5 matches and perhaps more now we have not had the same back four, so for me I am willing to wait longer before the musical chairs start again.

I went back under the sheets at 4.55am my time

Woke up and peeked at result, 2nd half good subs, quick fire double and Caicedo made it the opposite of the first.

Get managing players legs and knocks but why not start strong put it to bed , if Forest had bagged one in first 45 who knows but Big “I always win a trophy in my second season” Ange is out and looking like Dyschey in.

Another red card to keep the streak going - something to address or inexperience again ?

I’m no apologist for Maresca. I wanted him gone last season but the end result of the season was successful. We achieved what was realistically there for us. I reckoned he deserved to go into this season on that basis even though one or two of our wins last season were in spite of him.

It looks like the players like him which is important I think.

As far as praising him for the changes at halftime today I’ll stand my ground. He is managing minutes for about half our squad at the moment. Out of the 3 games this week I’d have played a team similar to him today on that basis.

Did it work? Did it f**k but I’m not going to criticise him for making what turned out to be a poor team selection. This game was always going to be the least recognisable team out of the 3 games this week. A gamble against a struggling Forest that wasn’t working. He made 3 changes and we got ahead early and comfortably saw the game out. I’m not saying he did brilliantly but he made changes that won us the game. Last season he would have waited until the 70th minute to change things. Well done in the circumstances I reckon.

I get that my opinion on Maresca isn’t with the majority on here but I really do believe he’s getting better and definitely doesn’t deserve to be sacked as some on here want. If we are mid table after Xmas and New year then questions will rightly be asked and I might be for a change but not yet surely?

Bit of a sloppy and risky performance. That first half worried me. However they got the job done in the end.

We still only ever play for 45 minutes. It’s so frustrating a not sustainable if you aspire to be an elite team.

Devils advocate.

We have a mix bag of inexperience and some truly, truly average footballers. I’m not sure how much we can expect of any real sustained quality.

My gripe with Maresca has always been his in game management. He’s corrected his errors two games running, but some of the performances during that first half was well beyond him. No one could pass for dick.

Bottom-line is with that clownish starting lineup and first half performance any decent team would have butchered us and once we go goal(s) down we rarely comeback. We were very lucky to win today. Question is this is happening againa nd again when will he learn ?

Anyone thinking that we had a comfy second half has obviously not watched the game. Same number of shots, less possession, less corners, and worse xG in that second half than Forest (1.31 v 1.81 according to sofa score). But there shouldn’t be any need for stats, anyone watching the game could see that we were lucky that Forest couldn’t score those sitters while we did score our chances. So no, it wasn’t a comfortable second half.

Seriously the Maresca haters, and there so many of you on here, need to get a grip, yes he’s not perfect but we’re building an amazing young team here, have a bit of patience and support the team.

Imagine how good we would be with a real manager

Highlights certainly don't paint a 3 nill performance.

I see why Forest had a higher xg, not sure how they managed not to score.

Cos, contrary to the likes of Lucy Ward banging on about how good they were and how they should have been in front, they never actually had a single shot on target.

To put that into context our first half performance would have been better if we hadn't taken the field. They couldn't hit the side of a anyway their three golden goal scoring opportunities came from direct passes in critical areas from our players.

and yet - for the most part, whoever he plays at the back, he still asks for the same fret w**kery - passing 43 million times between the CBs.

Less about forest being good - more about us being absolutely piss poor. Maresca screwed us that first half with his tactics.

We have had it before though under TT with the U formation passing across the back line until someone lost their marker and we could find them. Almost like watching paint dry.

Yet with both we have won trophies and yet Maresca has a much younger team and with several injured players at any time.

C'est la vie.

Yep - I was also vocal against TT by the end. I cant stand the slow and stagnant football he had us playing, and we continue to play under Fraudesca.
