March 12Mar 12 8 hours ago, just said:Early days for Rosenior, and I guess we have to give him some leeway at this point. TBF I have noted a few key differences from Maresca Pepilini. He doesn't wear the same club White puffa jacket every week. Indicates, a modicum of fashion sense and an awareness of the importance of individuality. He wears glasses. Indicates, he wants to see things more clearly.During the game, he writes stuff down in a book. Indicates he is organised and owns a pen.He likes to talk. Indicates he has a lot in common with my wife.He also has a footballing podcast on Youtube which means he could relate to the commoners.
March 12Mar 12 He’s just a yes man Just a puppet being instructed to give players minutes Maresca walked away let’s not forget that and we replaced him with this poor excuse

March 12Mar 12 Its not the only problem, but playing out from the back has caused us many errors leading to goals and near misses, with either keeper. LR believes in this system and has also previous said that he wishes to develop the use of a goalkeeper further by his advancement towards the halfway line perhaps when teams defend deeply against us. He feels we have two keepers who are and i quote "world class" with the ball at their feet. I therefore think that he will continue with and even develop this system. I believe that there is no place for unnecessary risks in top flight football. An experienced manager and there are many would either agree wholeheartedly or would already be using such a system. LR must therefore believe he is a visionary or even a pioneer who whilst a little misunderstood at present will soon be recognised ( with a knowing nod ) as a footballing Einstein. Blue Co for their part have no experience of association football, tactical know-how and other such distractions. They will only step in when this genius steps out of line in terms of team selection and or is perceived to cost them money. No champions League qualification might be the next pinch point. Hes already started the rallying cry for a fight back next week, i expect he will ask the supporters to play their part in what could be a fantastic achievement. I also think he is waiting for Blue Co to tell him which goalkeeper to play in the next and subsequent games, its hardly a matter for him.Its a shame, from a football perspective we appear to have wasted an opportunity to go deep into the Champions league.
March 12Mar 12 Bit of revisionism going on here. Everyone was in agreement after Arsenal that Sanchez needed dropping.Jorgensen came in for the Villa game and was OK. Sanchez was back in for Wrexham, should’ve stopped the 1st goal and was flapping at everything. Starting Jorgensen against PSG was the right call based off confidence alone currently. We can’t blame LR for the fact his GK options are essentially choosing between being kicked in the bo**ocks or punched in the bo**ocks. That’s solely on Clearlake and their ‘world leading’ recruitment. What is LR’s fault is this insistence to continuously play the ball back to the GK for no good reason, cost us at least 2 goals last night and we don’t look comfortable doing it.Aside from the last 5/10 minutes, GK errors aside, I actually thought we played well and were the better team. A fit Cole Palmer would’ve made the world of difference, ie he buries that chance at 1-1 and it’s a different game. Ties over now though.
March 12Mar 12 My very honest opinion is that Rosenior set us up well against PSG and we really made it difficult for them to play their usual game. Two things I was really happy with was the fact we went to a place like that and always pressed them high up the pitch and the second thing is the way we beat their press. We really improved in that aspect. But once again, just like in the Leeds match, Rosenior's in game management was absolutely terrible. Two things everybody could see last night before Jorgensen's brain fart that gifted them their third goal. First, PSG changed their approach to a more aggressive pressing towards Jorgensen in the 2nd half, long before his mistake, which was something Rosenior should have fixed and tell him to mix things up and play it simple if there is a free man or just get rid of it safe and relieve the pressure. And second, yet again the game was screaming for some fresh players and he was late to make any changes. It felt like the Leeds match all over again really... He should be way faster in taking in game decisions and not wait until there is nothing left to do.
March 12Mar 12 I've never seen a worse piece of game management in my life. And i've watched 1000s of games of football.

March 12Mar 12 His inexperience showed last night, 2-2 would have been a brilliant result and we should have shut up shop. Looks like the FA cup is the only hope of silverware... I think we can score 3 against PSG at the bridge, but we will concede so tie is done.
March 12Mar 12 Some of the reactions on here when Gary O’Neill takes over next Christmas will be hilarious.
March 12Mar 12 He only had to watch a replay of the CWC final to see how to tackle PSG. Either he didn't, or he did and decided he knew better. Ultimately he couldn't have opted for a worse approach.

Chalobah for the 2nd goal was shocking, but the one thing I've noticed under Rosenior is that our CB's love going out of position to challenge midfielders.

Without Estevao, we just don't have the quality the likes of PSG have. Maybe put Santos and Acheampong on but as much as I rate Lavia, he still looks a bit rusty after the long layoff. As for Delap, I really was hoping he would come good but he so looks like a Championship level player right now. March 12Mar 12 We lack experience, leadership and a decent keeper…. Feel like I’ve been saying this for a few years now.As for LR, the fact we are debating is he any better than EM says it all. We upgrade our managers like we upgrade our squad and play a lot of our football sideways and backwards.Until we change strategy, get in a proper manager and SD’s who work together to identify targets but the manager has full power over first team matters including the ability to drop or even sell any player he feels ain’t pulling their weight or are disruptive etc then things won’t change. Our players are very comfortable with their long contracts knowing the manager can’t do sh*t to them and probably won’t be here that long. While our priority is protecting assets and future profit and winning just a bonus we are not a serious football club.

LR needs to shoulder the blame for insisting on playing out, but he is a god awful GK.
