Boycott Clearlake

Stop buying season tickets in thousands and see them take notice until then nothing changes. Protesting while still spending money with these clowns shows them fans are just bark no bite.

Tell any match going fan that and they'll tell you that the seats will still fill up.

The only real damage the fanbase can do is if they actually united and protest with one common purpose. Clearlake Out.

Yep.

There are many on this Forum who have supported CFC for a LONG time, but we're now of an age, where it's no longer the most important thing in our lives. Don't get me wrong, I still get totally pissed off when we lose and/or play badly, and CFC still often ruin my weekends, but I try not to let that be the case now. This new regime have totally soured things for me and many and have lost count of the number of supporters saying they have never felt so detached from the club. We're not alone - many other supporters out there feel the same - look at West Ham right now.

I do hope the younger generation and those who attend all the home games make a stand and make their voices heard - it needs to happen. Said in the Vintage thread recently about how much more enjoyable following Chelsea was back in the '80's, despite the lack of success. Can't see that being the case again all the time BlueCo are involved but we can but hope things improve.

Great post. Like many others on here have supported the club for more years than I care to remember and have seen some great times and bad times. As you say, there are more important things than football in our lives. The crowd I go to the games with are - with a couple of exceptions - are aged from 60 to 72. Yes, we get frustrated with performances and results and Tuesday's result and performance were depressing but after discussing the game for a while in the pub after the match we talk about other things and often more important matters. I often feel that the soul has been ripped out of the club and I don't think the owners understand what the club is about. Also do they really care about fans who have been following the club for years and have spent a fortune attending games.

I rarely eat and drink in the ground as the drink and food is poor and pricey. Also only visit the club shop about twice a year. I don't think I'm alone in that. I suspect that a lot of older fans are like that. I suspect the club wants to see shot of us old bastards whether ST holders or members and get in others who may be willing to spend loads of money in the ground. As you say, hopefully the younger generation will take a stand and I suspect that many of those will be children and grand-children of those of a certain age.

Many could give up season tickets and stop going to the shop and bars but the club will advertise tickets to others via ticket agencies. A bit like they do at the moment but on a grander scale.

As mentioned elsewhere it's the Chelsea Pitch Owners' AGM in three weeks time. That could be very heated if one or more of the board turn-up. Last year Gannon and Finkelstein were there.

WATP.

Season tickets holders boycott the next game, they wont be able to fill those empty seats and it will get noticed around the world, then the next game continually chant Egbali out for 90 minutes that will get noticed , i dont think banners will be allowed it has to be at every game, i dont agree it will hit the morale of the players and if it does, GOOD, we will slip down the table, finish outside the European places, go out of the cups, it will hit the owners where it hurts in the pocket

Yes you would still get a few overseas fans but predictable income is what these gouls rely on taking that away will have an impact.

I wish I was there with you.

They are killing football as we understood it and not just in England.

Chelsea has simply become a marketable brand in every part of the world.

Our traditions, our History, our chants, do not interest any of the new fans scattered throughout the USA, Japan or anywhere on the planet.

Chelsea is just a winning brand, even if they don't win anything anymore...a bit like historic NFL franchises.

My dream? To return to being, even through some suffering, a real football club run by competent and passionate people...in a word to return to being the CFC.

This isn't about trying to bankrupt them. We know we can't hurt Clearlake being one of 98 investments. It’s just about sending a message... that football is for the people, that football is passion, not an investment.

We need to show them we don't want any part of this model. Getting our club back is too big of a hope, but at the very least we can tell them that this isn't how you run a football club. They need to understand that our identity isn't something they can just trade away. Even if they stay, they should know exactly where the fans stand.

Even if only season ticket holders boycott or chant or wear shirts against Clearlake, that's half the stadium. Week in week out. It will generate results

THE BOYCOTT IS ON THE 17 JAN AGAINST BRENTFORD, IT WOULD GET MORE PUBLICITY IF IT WAS ON THE 14TH AGAINST ARSENAL, but I suppose everyone wants to win that game

Watch that protest die or become half arsed like the previous one if we beat Fulham and/or Charlton.

Typical with this fanbase.

I don't want to put a downer on the protest, but the usual protest will not be enough. I've seen United fans protest for literal years at this point with no change. If you protest and then go into the stadium, watch the game and even chant Eghbali and Clear Lake out, they will not give a single sh*t. Don't go into the stadium, don't give them money. If fans falter now, then it will give the impression that this protest is all performative.

The thing is when you say don’t go to the game , they got the money for the season ticket last July , they won’t care

Chelsea work tickets on a points system , don’t activate the ticket equals 0 points makes it very difficult to get a ticket for a

big game or renew season ticket.

Don’t renew season ticket and your never get another one , season tickets are the cheapest seats in the ground and

blue -co would love any excuse to reduce amount of season tickets

Our club needs us “in the sun and rain”

Shareholders are elastic. They’ve put pressure on Eghbali due to poor results. Bloke is very emotional as well so he reacts to everything. He legitimately blocked every single big Chelsea fan account on X for talking sh*t about him. I’m not kidding.

An organized protest with a clear message showing distaste for Eghbali and the directors could make waves.

I’m all for building a young team, but PSG is exactly how we should be run.

Why would I protest, I wanted Maresca gone. The club does one thing right and now we are going to protest?

Where were the protests when they took the club from Roman? That would have been the time to save the club.

Go ahead get yer Ya-Ya's out.

I wanted Maresca gone, but that doesn't solve the main problems. They also didn't get rid of him, he quit! Pochettino did exactly the same thing. The guy they put in place to lead this project and be their yes man that did as he was told has quit because he stopped saying yes. Do you really think Maresca would be gone right now if he had kept on doing as he was told? No chance. He's their man and he was doing a fantastic job in their eyes. He was in no danger because of the football, he was in no danger if we missed out on Champions League football, because if that was the case, why are they turning to Rosenior now? That effectively guarantees we ain't achieving f**k all this season and will almost certainly slide down to mid table mediocrity. Do you think the awful football, managing players and heavy rotation is going to stop? This is all by design, it's all to increase the value of the players so they can sell them later, not build a football club with the aim to compete seriously.

The protest is because this football club is being run horribly, not because Maresca quit. It's a trigger, but I highly doubt those protesting care much about Clearlake's former puppet, it's much bigger than that.

The protest is against the ownership and their "model" that is ruinous for our football club.

Nobody would be protesting if we lined up a top manager to replace him, but Rosenior being the one likely to take over is the final straw for a lot of people. It's the acceptance that the ownership has taken us from being an elite club challenging for trophies to a team happy to make some money and scrape top 4.

It's difficult for fans who have paid for tickets to stay away. I think it's better if they attend then at a certain minute they all get up and walk out. Difficult if we're thrashing Arsenal though.!!

The owners aren't going. But they need to stop their club wrecking transfer trading and remember that it's THEIR decisions that have caused problems. They have admitted making mistakes along with the unforgivable excuse that they are "Learning on the job'

Don't f**k around with our club as if it's a plaything for you. .If you know f**k all about running a football club, don't sack the people who do and then have a go at it yourselves..

I won't even mention the stadium that was promised in your bid.

I would never pressure season ticket holders to boycott games. They have paid an absolute fortune to see Chelsea play, many of them paying it for year after year after year. I think it is too easy to forget the commitment and love those fans have of the club in all its history. Current ownership is a blink of an eye compared to the club's history. Unless you're filthy rich you don't buy a season ticket on a whim. Those fans shouldn't be punished by missing games because of the actions of our current regime.

Go to the games and get your fix folks. By all means protest but don't deny yourself something that has much deeper roots than the sh*te we have just now.
