The worst first half I’ve watched in many years. Soooo bad! That second half was better, much more urgency and we were lucky West Ham were not that good. It’s not surprising giving that sh*t line up LR came up with in the first half. Why that urge to rotate so heavily every game? Why not play your best players and rotate one a game? I don’t know where to start but I think that there are two problems , one with the starting 11 picked up and second. the game plan. LR is following much of yhe Maresca book with his player choices and slow tempo play.

A manager can’t override 2 years of tactics in 3 weeks. Much of this season will be Maresca hangover until LR can have a full pre season with the team. LR summed it up perfectly by saying the second half was the players individuality and freedom. He just needs to manage egos and let the players enjoy themselves, individually the squad is good enough they’ve just been imprisoned by Maresca-ball for too long.

My analysis of this...

I'm fed up of seeing the usual suspects starting against these "weaker" opponents. It's obvious blue co have a part in this, Rosenior surely wouldn't follow the same play book as Maresca through his own choice. We got away with this one, but if we want to be playing champions league football next year we need be fielding our best 11 every game. I don't think Delap and Gittens even deserve to lace the boots of the likes of Pedro and Estevao. We have a legitimate title contending starting 11, but our second team is terrible, and if blue co keep insisting we play them we will never win anything.

That being said, once we got our best players on we played a hell of a second half. Credit to Joao Pedro, his heroics this week have helped prove what a signing he is. I legitimately think he will be our best striker since Drogba.

His first half was abysmal, as was the rest of his teammates, but his second half was very good apart from his goal.

He is so world class it makes everyone else look weak.

Pedrooooooooooo. Time for us to

A: concede a goal

B: win 3-2

(at 1-2) I don't like to blow my own trumpet but.......🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺. You're welcome 🙂

(to be honest thought it would be (A) 🤫

I missed the game last night but have just watched highlights on MOTD. Fair dues to Rosenior, he acted with the subs at halftime and corrected where we'd gone wrong. Shay Given gave an analysis of Chelsea's left sided trio Badiashile, Hato and Garnacho and their inadequacy in defence that should mean we don't risk that combination again. Badiashile is having a shocking season, shouldn't be near the team imho

Downside is that yesterday was an exact re-run of the Napoli game midweek. Mass rotation, first half disaster, saved by subbing on those who should have started. How long before he realises the issue? His luck will run out.

Just a thought. Maybe if we start our strongest side, get a lead, then start to rest players from there. I don’t know if it’s ever been tried, but I think it might be worth a shot.

What happens if you don’t get an early lead ?

What happens if the second half rescue mission doesn't come off? As almost happened yesterday. Logic would suggest that starting strong against relegation-threatened teams is the way to go. If logic enters into football.

True. Everyone knew he had picked the wrong starting 11 and eventually our coach realised what we all knew well before he did !

Should have made the changes after the first goal. It was a great comeback, but this isn't sustainable. One thing he must have learnt is that he shouldn't make so many changes and that we don't have much squad depth.

Can't complain about the results though, I'm actually looking forward to the Arsenal game.

Come on you BLUES!!

Can someone a bit more tech savvy please make one of those GIF things for JP absolutely sh*tting himself when Traore turned around. I’m still laughing at it now.

It was hilarious. Reminds me of Dicanio and Nigel Winterburn. But watching it now, he doesn't look as scared as JP yesterday!!

The squad isn’t good enough to rotate! This is one of the worst teams in the league we’re playing and we’re getting pumped!

Touched on it the other day. Hate how LR goes on about working with this "incredible group of players". We have a few very good players and some who can do a job now & again, but the rest of the squad is padded out with utter dross. And when you play too many of them at the same time as LR did in the first half yesterday, THAT is the result.

Thank f**k for the changes and the second half comeback as that first 45 was an utter embarrassment.

When it comes to your opposition at this point in the season till the last game, the teams that personally I hate playing are those that are in a relegation fight.Looking at WHU over their two last games they clearly were in a bit of form.

The plan obviously yesterday was to rest players what with the better players in the squad playing on Wednesday and them not getting back to Cobham till 5.00am on Thursday which was what 60 hours before the WHU game kicked off and another game in 72 hours the players need some sort of respite

Yes for everything you said. Strongest team against Arsenhole from the start and we have a great chance. Start the same as the Napoli and Wet Spam games and we're out before half time.

Off topic but does anyone else want to win this title? We beat Arsenhole and opened the door. Just when you hope City or Villa can give a go they f**k it up!! Reminding me of when Leicester won the league. Of course the Enchanted Boot of Eden helped out there. All hail the Wizard.
