Palmer was fine, he was excellent until the collapse around him happened. I'm not going to get at him for the bad miss at the end, every player has done that.

Caicedo though has been poor for a while, I agree on that. I'm sick of him forcing tackles when it's not needed.

Isn't that the same story with Maresca? That's how I felt anyway. Yeah, the manager made mistakes, at least from outside pov, but in the end the roster is lacking.
Ignoring the Defense for a second, the midfield composition is really lacking in certain aspects esp along creativity and well skill/technique. It's evidently better when Palmer plays, but all the CMs are on the rounded/physical side of the game. We've got no Szoboszlai profilein the roster, for ex (Kovacic another ex).

To be honest Rosenior has gotten away with it for a while. Be it correcting his first half mistakes or poor subs in the second half. It was about time it finally caught us.

That being said, squad is horrifically sh*t beyond the starting XI.

It was a great hour. It was a terrible half hour.

No way are we getting top four. Achempong Is not good enough.

Ultimately another reminder that beyond our first 11 or 12, we quickly see a big drop in quality. In some cases due to a raw lack of experience, and in some cases because of players that are not good enough. When at least 2 of our preferred 11 can only play a couple of games a month, and 1 of our better options (Lavia) is continually injured it is no surprise that we see a big drop off when we try to rotate.

Yes, which is why I said earlier in the thread these outside influences are sabotaging us. No f**king way should Cucurella have come off at 45 minutes and Estevao at 60. This is the same pre planned sh*te we were seeing under Maresca. Players only being allowed to play a certain amount of minutes to save them for the next game. Win the game first, then you can make the subs.

yeah but I think it's also a decision as to who may be in or around the box to try to score. So, maybe the idea is to have cole attempting to score and gusto to fight for the first/second ball... hard to know what is planned for such situations.
