loz
A bit soon to be looking ahead I know but 1. It is Spurs so let the vitriol begin! 2. I am flying down for the game so hopefully meet up with a few folk before the match 3. The day of the match is exactly one year from the day our old friend Boulderbollocks passed away - so lets take the opportunity to raise a toast to him and pay him the respect he would have wanted - slating the Spuds! We miss you mate. mad_mac
No way can we let those scum bar stewards take anything from us this season. Last season was painful enough. Hope you have a good one Loz, and you meet a few of the regulars there, and a few new faces....almost a pre-piss up. Never met Boulderbollocks, but his posts were often hilarious and thoughtful Scott
evissy
With all the turmoil inside Spuds we should walk away with this. Keane and most of all Berbatov wont feature so the main threat is Bent(?). If Spuds play as open as they are known for we should, again slam in four but this time keep our end clean. We could already be enjoying the skills of a certain brazilian winger in this game. ChrisC
This should be three wins from three, I can't see Spurs taking anything at all from this game. They really struggled at the weekend without Keane and Berbatov. I'm going for 3-0 :D

mad_mac
A Cole and J Cole are being assessed by the Club right now after their injuries picked up against Wigan this past weekend. I think we are ok with Bridge anad Kalou as cover, but the formation would be pretty similar to what we have been playing so far Scott
mad_mac
I also hope that Mikel comes into the midfield, and I'd actually like to see Kalou being given a start. before the season started I stated that Kalou would be our most improved player this season, with Mikel close behind him. I feel we may see more of Mikel, and Kalou will be the one chasing the title of most improved. The great thing about Mikel, is his holding role responsibilities are great, but he can be good going forward too. His passing is often crisp and precise, so I just hope he gets the time on the pitch he deserves. The interesting point would be to consider what two players will play just ahead of him? Will we have some form of rotational policy between Lampard, Essien, and Ballack? Scott
ozboy
I'd like to see Kalou start as his extra pace is helpful. On the other hand J Cole finishes a bigger % of his opportunities. I've said for two years now that Mikel's great strength is he moves the ball quickly, even if not very penetratingly, so that we get going in attack straight away. We need more forward cover, with Pizza boy and Sheva gone and drogs increasingly injury prone its the only weakness. I don't care about the wingers so much its finishing we need. TomP
Same linup as against Wigan for me (assuming the Cole's are fit), but with one important change - Mikel in. For me, he was the difference between our performance against Pompey and against Wigan. His crisp, sharp and accurate linkup work from the back is something we miss. For me, Lamps, Ballack and Essien were all a bit guilty against Wigan of dwelling on the ball a bit too long, looking for the killer pass. Mikel gets the ball, assess the situation and plays a good simple ball 9 times out of 10, a lot of the time using one touch only. In a squad without a lot of pace, this is what we need to speed things up - quick thinking and quick ball movement. We had it against Pompey, and we didn't have it against Wigan - we dwelled too long on the ball in posession and let them reset their defence too easily when they turned over possession. I think it is quickly forgotten just how good a player Mikel has become in the last 12 months, and I think that the deep-lying role in our midfield is a lot better suited to him than to Essien - who really should be thought of as an all round central midfielder (i.e. we need to pick two out of him, Ballack and Lamps). Sheva
Starting line up i expect to see similar to the Pompey game, with a rotation of essien/mikel of whoever is fit. Also we could see the inclusion of Robinho in this game if he signs or not which is pretty much expected.
blueday3
Is drogs fit for this game, I am excited to see what his form is like. If not no big deal hopefully, lets keep another clean sheet and put more than 1 away.
Mr Chelsea
we just need to win the spuds are looking to bounce back after a couple of poor results they will be up for this match like all the teams to come to the bridge, and would love to be the team that takes are unbeaten run we should win, but i dont think it will be an easy win

ethicalstrategy
Spurs will be desperate to get something from the match and I'd expect them to be fairly defensive with 5 in midfield. After Portsmouth's pathetic showing I can't see many sides playing two up against us. The worry for me is that we have all four of our main central midfielders carrying some type of injury. If we want to play a diamond or some variation of it then we don't exactly have much cover. We are also very short up front unless Anelka can improve and Drogba can get fit. Robinho would help but he isn't an out and out goalscorer. Ideally I'd like to see this line up for the match. ----------------------------Cech Boswinga--------Carvalho------JT----------Cole ------------------------Mikel --------Ballack--------------------Lampard --Essien-------------------------------Deco --------------------Drogba

blueday3
Really, I thought I read that Drogba was out until possibly October? Thats what the Ivory Coast manager said, last I heard Scolari said he was definately not playing in the opener and probably not until the end of August so it's quite possible he could feature against spuds
