ENygma got a reaction from WhiteWall in ZappacostaLoan deal to Roma.
Not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand Iw ould have preferred selling him permanently as a loan deal seems pointless. But on the other hand, given how bad Azpi has been I would rather he start for now until RJ comes into the fray.

ENygma reacted to Davey Baby in ZappacostaI don't mind Zappa at all. He's really not that bad. In fact, going forward, he's a lot better than Dave. We'd be selling him in order to promote James, not because he's a bad player. He's a perfectly good back-up RB, that injects a bit of energy into the team. He's always given it his all and if he goes I wish him well.
-
ENygma got a reaction from big blue in Welcome to Chelsea Ben ChilwellNot worth anywhere near 70m and Emerson is already better than him.
If Alonso goes we need to find a good backup option. I wouldnt mind signing a new RB and keeping Azpi as backup at both RB and LB.

ENygma got a reaction from strider6004 in Chelsea vs Liverpool (Super Cup) Wed 14th Aug 20:00 GMTHe will indeed! The transfer ban coupled with the new loan rules was 100% a blessing in disguise. We have cleared the club of so much deadwood and Lamps coming in to finally give the youth a chance is great. If he can carry on getting the squad to play like this, then I hope we get to keep him as manager for a long long time

Emerson missed a trick then, honest lad, Salah would have gone down like the Belgranno.
-
ENygma got a reaction from Jezz in Jadon SanchoPretty insane to think that both him and Mbappe were Chelsea fans... Just imagine they were both here.
We should definitely try and sign him next summer, we would have the funds no doubt.

ENygma got a reaction from strider6004 in Man Utd vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 11th Aug 16:30 GMTKepa
Azpi, Christensen, Luiz, Emerson
Jorginho, Kovacic
Pulisic, Barkley, Willian
Tammy
I think this is the most likely at this stage, given how much preseason game time they had and taking into account injuries
-
ENygma reacted to Amputechture in Jadon SanchoA 19 year old English player is too big for Chelsea? What a load of bullsh*t. You're having a laugh.
-
ENygma got a reaction from General in David Luiz back at ChelseaAnd when have we done that before? If you're talking about Mata and Matic and you're using the term "strengthen" then I dont know what to say....
-
ENygma reacted to Imran_CFC in Zouma - If Kurt's Happy, I'm Happy!I am completely against selling Zouma as I dont think we will be able to acquire a player of his ability with the same fee we may receive for him, people are making an argument that he is not good enough to start for a CL level squad however I think he is certainly good enough to be a squad member for a CL level team. We need to understand that we need a good enough squad to compete on all fronts and Zouma is certainly good enough to provide decent backup to Rudiger, Luiz & co.
If we look at the other top 6 teams and the backup they have to the front line CB's I would say Zouma would easily be comparable to that level. (Phil Jones, Lovren, Mangala, Mustafi, Foyth)
-
ENygma reacted to Boston Blue in Zouma - If Kurt's Happy, I'm Happy!I agree with this. I always thought he played very deliberate and tentative. But he was totally passive vs BM, deferring to other defenders to step in and make a play instead of taking charge himself.
We can't have a central defender standing in the box waiting for a teammate to deal with the danger.

ENygma got a reaction from drjonesy1994 in Nicolas PépéDybala literally crying online that he doesnt want to go Utd tbf ?
Also, am I the only one who's not as worried as the majority? I think the transfer ban was somewhat of a blessing in disguise. Its made us take a step back and really look at the way we do transfers and how we integrate youth. The FA making the new rules about the loans were also fantastic if you ask me.
We have made 30m+ just from selling bitpart loan players that were never going to play for us anyway. Given the Hazard money we got, and the Morata money we are getting next summer, not to mention we still have some pricey players that are yet to be sold (Bakayoko, Drinkwater and potentially Zouma/Bats as well perhaps?) we're gonna be rolling with money next summer, and I feel we are going to go in big and replace the likes of Willian/Pedro and have a defensive overhaul. Bring in a striker too even.
Also, the fact we are actually loaning out potential players that could be playing for us soon (okay, maybe not ALL of them) like Ampadu, Clarke-Salter, Musonda, Sterling, which is definitely FAR better than how we used to deal with loaned players before and the caliber of the loan players.
Really think this season is the beginning of a big change in how we deal with things in the future. This season may not be the prettiest, but I have a strong feeling we will get through it pretty well, and go in big the following season!

ENygma reacted to Munkunku in Random RumoursHe prefers the left but can play anywhere across the front.
-
ENygma reacted to Zeta in Pre-season matches 2019Second Half:
Good: Mount
Decent: Kovacic (1 big error though), Emerson, Abraham
Poor: Azpilicueta
Bakayoko: Batshayui
-
ENygma reacted to Munkunku in Mason MountIf Mount doesn’t turn in to a complete bellend like Alli that’d be good enough for me.

-
ENygma got a reaction from GarnachoCheese in WillianEmbarrassing tbh.
Could have been given to CHO or Pulisic, instead we've given to a bum player who's been terrible for at least 3 years
-
ENygma reacted to robdog in Ethan Ampadubro I remember when Josh McEachran was in the same situation & there were fans hoping that Chelsea would sell Super Frank so Josh could take his spot....I am not making this bs up either
-
ENygma got a reaction from DannyVblue in Fun season ahead?Couldnt agree more mate, the potential is insane! Just a case of whether these youngsters can live up to the hype
-
ENygma reacted to loz in Super Frank LampardWho is slating Rudiger? Whoever it is has just received their xray results.
-
ENygma reacted to loz in Tiémoué BakayokoIt is true dkw. He had a howler of a start at Milan but then settled and his form increased dramatically. Fair number of man of the match performances and was a permanent fixture on the first team.
He just thrives in leagues like the French and Italian when there is more space to play than there is in Chesty Morgan's cleavage.
Given the transfer ban I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him back to play slightly ahead of Kante once Kante is restored to his rightful position but probably not as a regular starter.
-
ENygma got a reaction from Argo in Mateo KovačićYeah thats a very good point. Even if he doesnt play every game, having someone of that caliber in rotation is what we need to compete with the top clubs
-
ENygma got a reaction from mad_mac in Alvaro MorataThe rumours are that we have. Hes going for at least 50m, and in some reports ive seen that its 60-65m. Either way I have to admit, great piece of business offloading him for pretty much the same price we bought him.
If we can just sell off a few more dead wood, our war chest will be looking incredible come next summer, where we can go in hard on the transfers
-
ENygma got a reaction from Slojo in Mateo KovačićHe clearly does have the potential to be a great player, the europa league final is proof of that.
its just now whether Frank and the coaching staff can get the best out of him. If he can play even 50% of games this season like how he was against Arsenal, then that would easily justify the 40m. Especially considering last season he had maybe 5 "good" performances all season
