  1. Was the game on Sunday morning by any chance
  2. Lauren - tell us how Janis looks nowadays
  3. Tim W replied to geezer's topic in General Chelsea FC
I thought it was virtually impossible to get a yellow in the reserves let alone a red
  4. Good lick Butch, I just can't help feeling no matter how much the club say to the contrary the players will never accept Grant as a coach or tactician, in some ways by Christmas we could be back to pre-Hoddle days
  5. If true can you blame him? No matter what he does he will always be a legend; all I wish is he would smile a bit more often, he has wonderful teeth!
  6. Well said Kenn (and Just originally) and in less than 300 words
  7. The second guy in yellow who chops him down has just received a massive ban.
  8. Wasn't he playing just off of Drogba? Whatever, the crowd shouldn't get on his back I agree, but his basic skills were terrible, his first touch was awful, his free-kicks a joke, and the odd shot he had would have been better at Twickers. Perhaps a bit of old fashioned dropping in the reserves might help him remember how to play, wrapping him up in cotton wool patting his head saying poor little Sheva won't help.
  9. I gave it to Joe - now if he had played where Sheva was standing and Malouda played from start we might have fared better
  10. In the short time Malouda was on the pitch his attitude stunk no once did he attempt to track back after losing the ball, didn't look like he wanted the ball in the first place. I'd pick Kalou ahead of him every time because he works himself to death and the goals will come.
  11. Spoken like a true juvenile
  12. Bridge for me after what that lad has been through getting back on the park again makes him MoTM - plus Cole A was crap as G4 has mentioned in numerous posts so maybe just maybe AG can see the better player and give WB the starting birth.
  13. Nice to see Wayne back thought Sid was alright, needs more games, Kalou was lively. Couldn't help noticing the number of balls we over hit
  14. Sorry Mike Hilario is still at the club, well in body
  15. I thought they returfed Stamford Bridge
  16. Ah a Brummie combo You over for the Everton game?
  17. Well we couldn't afford to pay the wages for more than a few months so the players would have to accept a radical wage cut or leave. Promote the entire reserves of whom many are only boys would mean relegation which in turn would mean reduced TV income although we would get around ?20 million like Sheff Utd. Also, obviously, that would spell the end of European football resulting in a further drop in income. In all likelihood we would not get straight back out of the Championship and from there the possibilities of going down hill are well documented in fact there is a simple template for failure which maps out this fall in detail here
  18. Are you implying that he got better when he stopped playing? Who the f**k are the Twangs?
  19. JT has just asked Neil Barnett on Chelsea TV to pass on the message in case we have forgotten that he is Chelsea through and through and nothing has changed. And that legal action will be taken against the Observer for its articles naming him as one of the two traitors.
  20. Like you say his pedigree is excellent and being a virgin could well be a benefit compared to a been there done got the T-shirt manager completely fixed in his ideas. Plus I reckon, with his background, he would give the youngsters a go. Have you seen Diarra play for the Gooners and we threw him away? Sometimes you have to take risks - I see Grant as a huge risk - but you have to speculate on occasions, but saying that I would dance on any table to see Ruud back in the hot seat or Vialli for that matter I would even go so far as say bring back Eddie Mac. Eddie Mac oh Eddie, Eddie Mac When are you coming back (Martha Reeves and the Vandellas)
  21. I'll be kind and give my vote to Paulo for putting on his shirt the right way round after all this time without wearing one
  22. Were there actually people who wanted us to lose or just for things to go egg shaped and hope Abramovich would think again about his involvement. I'm not that heartbroken Jose has gone and believe there is a successful life after this, albeit not with Grant, or with Abramovich interfering. If the latter is the case I'd rather see us loose the majority of our stars, RA to sell up and Chelsea return to the good old unpredictable team they used to be without Champions league and world dominance. Deep down I would like to see our youngsters breaking through, Dennis Wise/Gus Poyet at the controls and some MH clone as the chairman.
  23. Can't argue with a word of that. We have a hell of a problem with Sheva part of it is the service he gets, but at times you wonder whether he has actually trained with the first team. Expect Ben Saha to be called back and playing first team football sooner rather than later
