My two favorite Cech saves apart from the ones Gem has already mentioned... Vs Hernandez a couple of months ago and Vs Baros in a Champions league Quarter (?) Final. There was also the string of saves he pulled off in his 1st or 2nd season for us against Barca. Best goalie the premier league has ever seen.

Didn't Luiz sign a new 5 year contract last year? If he's going, he's not going to be cheap.

The only reason I can think of is that they probably want to cash in on him while they still can. A player hitting 30 years old is like a car hitting 100,000 miles, value absolutely plummets. De Rossi is 30 in July. Whatever their reason for selling, I would bloody love him at Chelsea.

If I was Napoli, I would accept money for Cavani. I would reject the same money plus Torres. Nobody wants him on their wage bill.

Doesn't matter if we get José back and it doesn't matter if we sign a few world class players. If we still have an obligation to play Torres, we will still be massively burdened. Need a reliable striker to realistically challenge for the title.

Seems like a great deal for everyone. I'd guess that Monaco will be in the Champions league the season after next if they sign some of the class players they are being linked with. Plus, Ligue 1 isn't exactly strong so jumping up there wouldn't be as hard as in other leagues. I know a lot of people on here have jumped on their highhorses about players joining Monaco, calling them money grabbers etc, but Monaco is becoming the perfect club to go to. Massive tax free wages, perfect location and a team that is on the up with great ambition and if managed properly will be a big force in European football in years to come. I wonder if the people jumping on Falcao's back will be jumping on Branna's?

Strange that Turnbull has gone as he was only ever here to fulfill the amount of English players we need for the UCL.
