There's also a 7 part 'making of' video of the album on YouTube. Worth checking out. Brent Hinds did some recording on the moon! Edit: Just realized it was leaked over a week ago. I'm late to the party. Edited March 27, 20179 yr by Amputechture

Same difference :) Not their best album but enjoyable and still head and shoulders above the rest of the active metal bands. God, I miss Isis... a damn shame that they broke up. March 28, 20179 yr Been enjoying Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes. Frank Carter is the former front man of the Gallows, I didn't realise he had a new band but then found the Scroobius Pip, Distraction Pieces podcast he did a couple of years ago where he talked about the new stuff. Very good if you enjoy a bit of hardcore punk.

Then again, it took them around 15 years (give or take a year?) to release another album, so the expectations were bound to be high. To be honest, I wasn't sure what I was expecting, because 15 years between albums seems like an eternity in music business. I should probably listen to the new one a bit more to see if it grows on me.

April 14, 20179 yr Interesting album from a French/Malagasy singer. My first impression is that it's quite enjoyable:
April 17, 20179 yr Still patiently waiting for the new Stone Roses album. Seems to have been 'almost ready' for years..
April 18, 20179 yr Just finished listening to S-Town. A podcast from the makers of Serial, This American Life: https://stownpodcast.org/ It's about a horologist (clock maker/repairer) from a sh*tty little town in Alabama called Woodstock, who says the son of a wealthy local family has got away with murdering someone. Brian Reed, a producer from the Serial team, travels to Woodstock to find out more from the horologist- an eccentric, obsessive-compulsive called John B McLemore. Soon however, when someone else ends up dead, it becomes to be about more than just life and death.... It's only 7 episodes but I was hooked from start to finish. Listen to it! And thank me later. I think I've listened to the first three or so, it's a compulsive listen in much the same way as Serial was.
