As I have said before, if we sign Bastian Schweinsteiger, I will be so happy I will run down the road naked singing the German national anthem. If we signed him for anything less than £25m, I don't think I can be held accountable for my actions. 

 

Clearly the whole site is sh*t. On the right hand side of this story they say Chelsea are set to sell Cech to PSG, they say Mata and Hazard are leaving United and Chelsea, and Chelsea are going to bid £40 million for Fabregas. What a crock of sh*t that site is. It's worse than Metro .

Daily Express Chelsea look to sign Roma centre-back Mehdi Benatia with Romelu Lukaku being offered as part of a player plus cash deal.

Obviously think its bullsh*t. Honestly how often do these player plus cash deals happen. The answer not very often.

Nah, Lambert will just be back up to their current strikers. At 7 million he is an ok backup. They realise they will be playing a lot more games next season than they have done in the last few season so will be getting back up players this summer.

Im sure Lambert will go for the money and claim its because Liverpool have great history blah blah blah, like they make all their new signings say but everyone knows the truth.

If he does join them i would expect his England role to be over as i doubt he will get played much at Liverpool. Cup games probably.

The Daily Express, meanwhile, claims Chelsea have hijacked City's move for Benatia after offering Roma £18m plus striker Romelu Lukaku.

Apparently he's being viewed as a plan B to make sure they don't burn Suarez & Sturridge out. Suarez has recently enrolled his daughter in a Merseyside school so I don't he's off anywhere.

 

Lambert is by all accounts a Pool fan so he gets a chance to play in the CL (and one final contract on a very good salary), Liverpool get a decent back up striker and everyone is happy. He will also fulfil a home grown place for them too. More likely that Borini is off, which is a shame because I always liked him when he played for us.

Also in the papers Ricky Lambert to Liverpool...msybe saurez is off after all?!

Does that mean his en route to real and if so can we go for Benz please

 

You dont replace Suarez with Rickie Lambert lol, He just gives them another option. Brendan probably realised after the Chelsea defeat at home that plenty of teams will park the bus at Anfield next season so having an option like Lambert will help them go more direct and give them the option to cross instead of trying to walk the ball in.

Daily Express: Spanish club Valencia will compete with Liverpool and Everton for the signature of Chelsea attacking midfielder Thorgan Hazard, 21, whose older brother Eden is a Stamford Bridge regular.

Red Magazine: England and Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, 35, may consider calling it a day if he fails to agree a new deal at Stamford Bridge after the World Cup.

Daily Star: Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has vetoed a new one-year deal for Lampard as he wants manager Jose Mourinho to build a younger squad.

Daily Express: Bullsh*t! We know how talented Thorgan is, that's why we signed him to begin with. I think he'll go on loan to Germany next year.

 

Red Magazine: Could be true. Would be the best outcome rather then him join another EPL team. 

 

Daily Star: Unlikely. Jose has stressed he wants to keep him.But with Roman, who knows??

It will be sad to see them go, the end of an era but we will move on. I agree that if we can get £15m+ for Cech then why not go for it.

 

Courtois could easily be our GK for the next 10-15years. The only issue would be who would be his back up? Schwarzer for another year?
