So the day is upon us when the 2010/2011 Player of the Year is announced and for a lucky few of us a very exciting night of drinking and mixing with Chelsea legends past and present lays ahead. I'm sitting at work for the morning struggling to do anything except mentally prepare myself for the evening, before leaving at lunch time for lunch at the Gerhkin before heading across town to meet up in the SoBar at about 5pm.

I know Zola (that's our one and not the real one) started his journey at about 7am this morning heading to the airport.

Anyway, that's sort of irrelevant - who's your money on?

For me I think fans player will be Cech

Players player Cole.

It's also being shown live on Chelsea TV:

WATCH PLAYER OF THE YEAR ON CHELSEA TV

Chelsea TV will have exclusive coverage of tonight's Player of the Year Awards with behind-the-scenes access and celebrity guests. Tommy Langley will join the Chelsea TV team to offer a former Player of the Year's opinion on the season, the performances and the winners of each award.

The club's official television channel will start showcasing the proceedings at The Awards from 8.30pm, as the players, staff and fans arrive at Stamford Bridge for the celebrations.

Chelsea season ticket holder and ITN newsreader Mark Austin will host as Chelsea TV brings you exclusive coverage of the star-studded event, with full build-up and interviews with the winners in each category - Player of the Year, Players' Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year - as soon as they come off stage.

The result of the Goal of the Season will also be announced.

As ever, the rest of the squad and celebrity guests will talk live to the channel before and after the awards as Chelsea TV reflects on the season and looks forward to the next.

Fans can also watch the coverage on their computer via CTV Online.

I voted for cech...think he has been back to his best after a couple of ropey (by his high standards) years...honourable mentions for Ivan and JT...ramires was good second half of the season...for me it's fitting that no attacking players are in with a shout

Fans Player I think might be JT, though I voted for Petr. Players Player will be Ash.

EDIT: Goal of the Year, Alex against Arsenal?

Has to be Cech. The standout pick in a season , sadly with not too many candidates.

Goal of the season, ill go for Drogba at Bolton.

Bran for me----pulled us through the sh*tiest 3-4 months we've had in a long time.........

closely follwed by Cech & Ramires...then Ash...

cannot think of anyone else who would come near......

Cech or Jt are the only 2 players that stand out for the full season for me.

It's a close one between Cech and Ivanovic for me, but I think it's about time Cech won this award considering how consistently brilliant he's been ever since he joined.

Possiblé Cech.

Ramires for most improved if there is such an award.

Josh for young player of the year probably.

Cech for fans player of the year.

Ash for players player of the year.

Ramires v City for goal of season.

Cech or Jt are the only 2 players that stand out for the full season for me.

I agree. Ivan's not been as good as last season, nor has A Cole.

Best goal is a toss-up between Alex v Arsenal and Ramires v City.

Cech or Ivanovic for me. Those two were probably the only ones who could hold their heads high during our crap period this season.

Ramires could have been a choice, but he had a slow start. If he plays like he's doing now during the next season he will be one of the front runners for sure.

Cech seems to be the popular choice...would be mine too!

says it all about this season really if Big Pete wins it i'm afraid...especially with the talent we have

My money's on Cech winning the fans player of the year, and Ramires as the players player of the year.

1/ Cech

2/ Ivan

3/ Ramires (slow start, but the only one who kept on putting a shift in midfield)
