Picking up PS4 tomorrow, assassins creed black flag and BF4 most likely and hopefully can try out the destiny beta.

I want this so much: Elite Dangerous

 

 

NOthing looked overly dangerous in the trailer.  In fact, it looked like the intro to 2001 A Space Odyssey.  What am I missing here?

Its an elite sequel, that alone should give you a soggy gusset.

I was only kidding in fairness. Though I`m surprised any big gamers havent heard of Elite, it was pretty much the first open world game and a massive technological breakthrough.

Maybe so, I still find it amazing that somebody can have an interest in gaming and not have heard of Elite. It's like somebody being into contemporary rock music and not knowing who the Rolling Stones are.

Anyone played the Destiny beta yet?

 

Finally tried out this Dragon Age origins, since it has such good reviews. My god was a terrible game. Uninstalled it already. The combat and the controls are just so poor, i feel like I'm battling them as well as the monsters the game throws at me. That's going straight in the pile of games to sell.

Did the same recently after a long break from it and playing DA II, felt nolgastic so I wanted to play the orginal.

 

It was f**king awful. I have no idea how I even enjoyed it so much back then. It really hasn't aged well at all.

I was born in '85 so I consider myself a cartridge kid.

I had a Spectrum Sinclair that I think we got off my uncle. 

 

 

Awful thing... even when you could get the games to work it was just tedious because most of the games didn't even make any sense.  

Cassettes were the best. It was great going round your mates house and raiding his games collection and sticking them all onto a C90. Can't do that with cartridges. Games on cartridges used to cost a bomb too.

By the way, when I was a kid only the uncool kids used floppy disks.

Yeah, comp tapes were great, especially if you had no idea what games were on them. Though loading one up for 10 minutes and getting excited only for a loading error right at the end wasn't much fun.

C64 and floppies mostly. Damn I hated them, you always had to make 2-3 backups to make sure at least one copy will survive...

Loved it. I feel safe knowing that Peter Dinklage has my back.

Ha ha yeah its a bit odd at first hearing his voice. I like there being a city as a hub, very mass effect like I thought.

I don't know if anyone is in to the Dragon Age games but what does anyone think of the new one? Personally I think it's going to be bad, even though it looks fancy and all but it kinda looks like what you see is what you get, it seems they have went down the fable route to with ridiculous fighting and animation in general like they did with the 2nd one.

 

Ah well that's a shame, I guess I'll just wait on Mass Effect 4 from Bioware instead.
