I'd like to see Luiz in this one, if we continue to try and press a high line defensively.

Also, it seems that Sturridge is out for this one.

I'd expect Torres to start, and then maybe have Didier come on later to nurse him back from injury.

I'd start like this:

Lampard would only be in as Sturridge is out. I'd also give Luiz a proper chance and keep Meireles in the 'No. 6' position

Cech, Bosingwa, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Lampard, Meireles, Mata, Torres, Anelka.

Drogba, Malouda, and hopefully Josh/Romeu to get some playing time in the 2nd half.

I think Josh should start this one after Frank played all that time midweek. Josh needs to get more game time, he will offer us that much needed creativity from the middle.

In these types of games we should dare to let a youngster like McEachran play.

Surprised so many people are picking Lampard for this one. We need to be using him like Ferguson has done with Giggs, Scholes etc in the past. Rest him for this one and play him in the much more crucial game on Wednesday.

I hope AVB rests one of Ramires/Meireles for Valencia and starts Josh for this one. If he can't get games against the likes of Swansea, Norwich etc at home then there's no point in keeping him here.

I expect the same line up as last week, maybe Anelka comes in for Sturridge. After 120 minutes yesterday, I doubt Luiz will start. AVB will not drop Lampard for this game, based on his comment regarding Lampard after the United game.

AVB sounded very impressed with romeu against fulham and said he is in line to get his PL debut which is good news. Lets hope torres can send any demons he has from that miss away and score a couple of goals. First goal at the bridge would be nice

I think this one will be a tougher fixture that what we may imagine. Once the first one goes in though I feel that there maybe two or three to follow with hopefully Torres grabbing a couple....AVB just might rest Cech and possibly Terry in view of Wednesday's fixture. Sturridge rested due to his injury so I expect to see Anelka playing alongside Torres.

Valencia are doing extremely well in Spain this season (just drew with Barca) and will be tough for us in CL midweek. So I think some players will be picked with an eye to that.

Luiz should play, maybe its time to give Bossy a rest on the right and play Ivan out there. Josh could well play in this one or Mereiles could play instead of Frank if Romeu gets a start.

However I don't care as for the second time in the last 10 years I should if all goes to plan be at the ground to see the game.

I'd go with gee's line-up with Josh in for Lampard. Promoted team at SB. We should be able to win this with some young ones in the team. I just want to see if AVB backs my theory on Lampard-Torres. If things are still level at second half swap in Drogba(f. Torres) and Lampard(f. Josh) if Didi is able to play.

I would expect AVB to pick the team with an eye on the midweek game against Valencia. Expect a couple of changes from the team that played against United. I think Lamps should be rested for this. I'd start Ivan, Luiz, JT and Cole in the back. In the midfield I'd have Meireles, Josh and Ramires. Josh was good against Fulham until taken off so in order to rest Lamps he could be given a start as he already has half a game under his belt and would be fresh too.The front three of Torres, Anelka and Mata kind of picks itself as Sturridge isn't available.

Almost my team but think id have mikel come in for merelies.

Merelies can come of the bench for Ramires if need be with Josh getting the full 90.

According to the official site the kick off is at 3pm.

We always seem to start slow which bothers me & never kick off till the 2nd half. Would like us to push out of the blocks for once. 4-2-3-1 is the only way Torres will be effective.

The match against Valencia next week makes this a tricky one for team selection. At home to Swansea should be a piece of cake but we can't afford to take it for granted. At the same time we do need to have a fresh lineup for the Valencia game as it will be very difficult out there.

The players who ended up putting in a 120 minute shift on wednesday will probably get rested for this one.

I don't think Josh has a hope of starting this match. Based on his CC performance he desperately needs to go out on loan and get a run of games with a second tier premiership side. I don't really understand why we didn't let him do that.

Josh and Meireles will provide a lot of support for strikers from midfield. Mata and Anelka will provide from the flanks as well.

Mikel will be the main man in the midfield, he has been really good this season. Spraying some passes from midfield to fullbacks is the main attacking task for him.

I will give Ramires a rest, let's see how do we play without him. His individual skills are brilliant, but I rarely see him linking well with teammates. Might come in for Meireles/Josh at 70th minute.

As we're playing high line, Luiz favor this one. Cole and Bosingwa will attack from the flanks as they always did and Mikel will always try to cover them. Mikel will plays a very important role here.

Speaking about Lampard, we already made our first move. I do think Josh/Ramires deserve to start more than Lampard.
