What do we get for a right answer?

Surely 'Best buy' would of been more appropriate and a little less negative!

Also, Torres is still a current player, how can his whole Chelsea career be marked on 10/11 months with not that much game time within it.

I'd say go pour yourself a drink, make a cup of tea or whatever, and enjoy new years eve without pondering so much on it.

Well 50 mill and you still can't fire after 12 months you have to start asking questions. I'm not trying to be negative I'm just trying to be rational the bloke does not fit into the current style of the team. But maybe I'm just upset after a loss to villa and I am already a few good drinks down

If Torres were the only problem with the squad at the moment, I'm sure the "fix" would be very easy.

We need to form our identity then get the players that fit AVB's system. Until that happens, it's tough to pinpoint only one player as an issue.

To put Crespo on that list is just plain wrong. Not only did he score quite a lot of goals but he also did his absolute best here even though he really missed Italy. Will always have my respect for that.

We didn't get our money's worth out of Crespo because his family never settled in England, but he had two seasons (Claudio's last and Jose's second) where he was a genuinely good player for us. No idea what he's doing in this conversation; I'd argue he wasn't even the worst striker signing that year, given the way Mutu turned out.

Torres for me - more expensive than Sheva and hasn't done anything to match the FA Cup goal against Spuds or the CL quarterfinal tap-in against Valencia.

I'd even go as far as to say that Crespo's been one of the best strikers we've had during the Roman era. Obviously Drogba is in a class of his own, mind you, but Crespo's definitely in the top three, right after Drogba and Anelka. If his family had managed to settle in England, I'm sure he'd been awesome for us.

What a negative and generally weak thread.

Torres still potentially has 3 or 4 years to play & be rated upon and Crespo was quality so its all a bit weird in my opinion.....

sh*t Crespo??? the Hernan variety... who scored 300 goals in 18 seasons, who banged in 20 goals from 49 Chels appearances and, still playing in India, has become the most expensive player in the recent NFL inspired player auction. Well if that's sh*t I'll have two pints of it
