Read an article on this earlier, not sure if it's the same one, but that article ended in saying that it looks like the typical writing about a worst case scenario that is unlikely to happen.

Wenger on the phone to Nico .............."fancy a few games for us ?"

Rodgers on the phone to Drogba........... "Didier, I always admired you when we were at Chelsea.....bla bla bla...."

Signing either would be the worst thing for the club at the moment. They will probably end up in the states or something

Yeah, Drogba in a Chelsea shirt again. It's hard to imagine anything worse isn't it?

We might even the CL again and who would want that?

Weird how they're wearing the home playing strip. I'd have thought they'd be wearing training kit at Cobham on a Tuesday.

Obviously there are worse things, signing Andy Carroll for one, but what timetowaste says is true in essence. Things have moved on already at Chelsea and although it's very early days it's going pretty well and seeing Drogba back in the team isn't really in the clubs/teams best future interest. If there was still a role for Didier he should never have left.

I was thinking more of halting our evolution as a team. Going back to the past would be silly.

I don't think Drogba coming back is the best option for the club (if we want to get the best out of Torres), but I would be interested to see how Drogba would fare in a technical team. He is very gifted technically, and I imagine that he'd excel even in a passing game, because of his strength and his close control playing off Hazard and Mata (the danger is that the players can't resist long ball).

But it's neither here nor there, because I don't expect him to come back to the club.

Wenger: "Hey Nico, have you seen my email?"

Anelka: "Which email, prof?"

Wenger: "The one that I sent to you yesterday"

Anelka: "Ooops, sorry prof. I missed the email, because it has NO TITLE"

From a selfish standpoint, I hope they end up in the MLS so I can see them both play. My friend who follows Juventus texted me earlier and claimed Drogba was heading there, but I'm pretty sure that's just a leftover rumour from last May.

I wish there was money in Australian football, but even marquee players don't earn a lot here. Would love to see Drogba strutting his stuff in Australia lol

If any other prem team goes to sign the Drog, pay whatever to have him back here. I couldn't seeing him against us.

Use him as an FA cup weapon.

I think having Anelka as backup to Torres and Sturridge wouldnt be that bad an idea. Having Drogba, however, would definitely be.

Fully agree. Not gonna happen. But with the more attacking set-up of the team, and the increased supply from Hazard, Mata and Marin, Drogba would be the beast he always was.

It makes me laugh how some people think just the sight of Drogba of sitting on the bench in a tracksuit would automatically mean Torres craps his pants and loses his mojo again. If that were true it doesn't say much for Torres.

Though the sight of Drogba was usually enough for the entire Arsenal back four to require a change of underwear!
