nonotnowjim, I would suggest that we're dealing with someone who is

a) Very young.

b) not really sure of himself.

c) unable to come up with a rational arguement, now that he has been called out.

The only thing I would agree with him on is lets get back to discussing the Torres situation, hopefully without the abuse and in a proper debating matter.

I think Torres will be back in the team on Wednesday night, which unless he scores is going to create a real sh*t storm.

I personally don't think he has to score, but he does have to contribute to good play and to a Chelsea win, again personally I don't care who scores, I just want us to win.

I did forget about Tommy in my previous post, I do actually value his opinion. Sorry for the contradiction.

It's nothing personal and it has nothing to do with us having different opinions or in the case of Torres similar opinions. I have never read a post from Maksimov before and I don't tend to value opinions from people unless I get to know them, he presented some good points but I can't say I know enough about him for his opinion to have much weight.

It's similar case with you and Shedpensioner, you've not given me any reasons to value your opinions. The personal comments about me didn't help either, and as far as I'm concerned are a different kettle of fish to comments about Torres or any other player but that's not really important. We all have our own opinions and we're all entitled to them but that doesn't mean we have to take on board each others.

Once again it's nothing against you or other posters but don't always expect me to consider your opinion valid just as I don't expect you to think much of my opinion on occasions.

Hopefully that answers your questions and we can get back to Torres.

I do appreciate the considered response, and as i have said, our views and opinions on torres are similar. It is just how we air them that is vastly different.

For the record I have never asked anyone on the forum to consider my own opinion valid, i usually validate and justify any opinion i have in my posts, and am always grateful to those on here who take the time to give constructive and justified views or arguments. I have never met another poster on this forum who has asked for thier opinion to be validated by other posters, and most of us come on here to debate chelsea, gauge opinon and hear others views. Whilst i cannot speak for others, my purpose for coming on here is not to to read endless torres bashing or ill concieved comments relating to ladyboys or cancer (in general - not specifically from you)

.

And as usual you would be wrong on all accounts....

It's touching that you're obsessed with me though.

I'm surprised you replied as my opinion doesn't matter to you!

I can also see Benitez putting Torres back in the firing line, although on merit and current form he should remain benched and Ba should continue. Whilst Ba didnt do much in general against the saints, the two goals he scored should result in a place in the team, preferably up front.

If Torres does play, then he could do a lot worse than follow Ba's lead by chasing down shots on goal / lost causes in the hope of picking up a rebound or tap in ala ba against southhampton...There hasnt been enough of that type of play from him, and he has generally looked to be back on his heels rather than on his toes chasing in at goal.

That was my big issue with him in the QPR game, not the shot that was saved, I still say that was a good piece of goal keeping.

I think it was twice that the ball came to him in the box and he wasn't ready for it.

Maybe both could start?

I'd be astonished if he didn't play Ba after the weekends performance, I think Torres needs a few weeks to recuperate.

Yes but guys those in charge see Torres has scored 14 goals this season, that might be seen as a success, bollocks to against whom, he has that total, the fans may seeit didferently, but Roman might think, yess my son, RVP has 20, its a numbers game. Ba most probably will score 20 for the remainder, so it aint all bad......

Goal tally for me with Torres is now irrelevant he has to contribute more to the team as a whole.

Davey Baby? is that you? have you set up a second account just to double your Torres / bluehatter bashing? - I'm on to you!

It's 1 of Daveys many alter egos!

Tell us more, please do!

I have been away from home for four days attending the funeral of a young friend who died on Boxing Day from cancer.

I find it unspeakably offensive that people are hi-jacking this word to apply to footballers whose performance disappoints them.  Are there not enough abusive words that you have to borrow this one?

Torres has still got a part to play for the rest of the season, maybe this time he will feel the pressure is of him a bit, which might and I will say might help.

On another note, if I were Torres, I'd be straight in the manager's office asking why Ba gets better service than me.

That can't be fair, surely?

I actually think the kit man is to blame, he's obviously won't give Torres a pair of shooting boots!

I feel sorry for your friend but honestly i think you are being a bit over sensetive because it's recent. My father died of cancer too and i couldnt bear hearing that word for months but some years passed and i got used to it.

On topic now.. I really cannot see FSW benching Torres again, i just feel sorry for Ba who gave us a great performance and now will be benched. Hope i'm wrong ofcourse.
