What I find funny is the hypocrisy

This is your post after one of Lukaku's rare appearances last season.

Yet the "hate" for Torres is uncalled for.

Las7 is Hercule Poirot!

To be fair to Shedpensioner, his post is an amusing one and I expect a bit tongue in cheek rather than just abusive and calling Torres a C*nt which is a big difference IMO.

Edited by Nibs

Right, so now he implied it instead of said it?

He implied nothing of the kind. He described Chelsea as a big club, saying, "When you play for big clubs you sometimes don't get another chance to play for a big club".

He said he was grateful for this chance and described Liverpool as the biggest club he's played for, which they certainly have claim to be. If he said they were the biggest in the land he is wrong, because Man Utd are.

He's just joined them and he's bound to make a few good noises about them but to say he said/implied we were a small club is just false.

I think Sturridge has every right to feel rather bitter towards us. Quite frankly I couldn't care less what he says about us or the dippers as long as he fails miserably.

I defended Torres long after most people gave up on him and were calling him a girl and much worse, but there is only so much I can take, and after that game against West Brom where he clearly didn't give two sh*ts, forced RDM to start without a striker against Juve, leading to him getting the sack, that was enough.

Why do people make it seem like Torres was alone in that atrocious performance against West Brom? The entire team bar Hazard didn't give two sh*ts about the game. And RDM alone is to blame for not starting Torres against Juventus, he showed a complete lack of sense in the selection for the Juve game.

I would also assume the post that Las7 chose to refernce is also the most damning one he could find to illustrate his point and the fact that said post is focussed entirely on the footballing ability of Lukaku and not his personality/appearance/gender says it all.

It is hardly similar to the hatred that has been both constant and personal relating to Torres- I don't really see any hypocricy to be honest.

Actually, as I've said earlier in the thread it's this type of hyperbole that leads to endless pages of discourse. I don't remember personally insulting Torres

I've called Torres probably the biggest flop in World Football - but I don't remember personally insulting him, not that calling people names on a forum is a capital offence and they should strip poster of their badges because of it. I found the fact  that Sturridge was continually booed by our own Support when he was our player far more offensive than a bunch of fans venting at a public figure on an internet forum.

Saying that an 18 year old player who did not get even two starts at the club last season in his best role is not worth the money we paid; we were mugged and the agent is pissing himself from a poster that continues to bring up that it's not Torres's fault he cost 50 million; constantly is making excuses for Torres; is hypocrisy at it's finest.

..to be fair, while I think any expression of hatred is totally inappropriate, a man who regularly wears an Alice band on the football pitch can hardly complain if people refer to him as Alice.

When was Sturridge 'continually booed' by our own supporters?

I can remember one occasion when there were groans of frustration which perhaps could be described as boos after a rather selfish passage of play (it was against Wigan if I remember correctly) but I don't think that can be classed as being 'continuously booed'. Feel free to enlighten me on that one.

I didn't actually say you ever personally insulted Torres nor did I imply it was an offence that warrants a poster being 'stripped of their badges'. I do however find it rather tedious and boring to read especially when every single thread is stunk out by the same posters saying the same stuff over and over, most of which without being underpinned by anything interesting and even remotely worth reading to justify the hatred and insults (this doens't apply to you by the way).

He was booed in the first half even against City last season - a game where he provided both goals, I take it you don't go to many games.

If you can find anywhere within my post where I make an attack on Lukaku personally?

I may have made comments on his football ability, which is my opinion of him up to the point at which I have seen him play! But I've made no comment on him as a person or thrown any 'hate' his way.

If you are going to accuse people of hypocrisy, please learn what the word means first.

I'd also like to congratulate you on having to go back a whole year to find something to use against me.

I am a season ticket holder mate so you 'take it' wrong.

I don't remember himbeing booed in that game- where do you sit?

When were all the other ocasions then that would warrant the description 'continuosly booed'?

Hypocrisy is the state of promoting or administering virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that one does not actually have and is also guilty of violating.

So where have I been hypocritic within that post that you took the time to unearth?

Leicester City; QPR; Wigan; Birmingham

More recently after the match against West Brom, where he got abused by our away support post match

I had addressed your question already

"Saying that an 18 year old player who did not get even two starts at the club last season in his best role is not worth the money we paid; we were mugged and the agent is pissing himself from a poster that continues to bring up that it's not Torres's fault he cost 50 million; constantly is making excuses for Torres; is hypocrisy at it's finest."

Maybe if you had the same standard that you applied to Torres towards other members of our squad I would take your posts without a pinch of salt

Edited by Las7

He was booed at the Reading homa game this season, but only after a ridiculous shot, once booed he calmed down, so maybe sometimes these things have the desired effect?

However I am against booing our players just for the sake of it.

I also haven't blamed Lukaku for what he cost, read my post again!

Your post also indicated that I'd shown some hate to Lukaku which I haven't!

Would you care to continue?

Oh so us being mugged, and the agent pissing himself - is far different than a person saying that Torres should be judged based of the money that was spend on him. Had Lukaku cost 5 pounds I doubt you would even say such things, yet when we are talking about Torres we shouldn't bring up how much he cost?

I was singing the song Moi.

Alice? Alice? Who the f**k is Alice?

Where do you sit at Stamford Bridge?

I only recall him being booed against Wigan (which was the only one I recall provoking discussion at the time so one would assume was the worst) and like I said previoulsy it was as much groans of frustration as it was booing.

I don't remember there being any discussion or reports of him being booed at any of the other games nor did I hear it myself.

You got a link for the reports of abuse after the West Brom game?

Where have I blamed Lukaku for what we paid? Answer the question

Where have I been hatefull to Lukaku about his personality? Answer that question

You signed off your original post on this matter with an implication that I had hated on Lukaku, I can't see evidence of this.
