According to Opta, Torres had 19 touches in all his 81 minutes of football. I'm sorry but that is utterly disgraceful for any premier league player let alone Torres.

I have been a staunch supporter of Torres but I think it's time to admit defeat, get rid and sign somebody, anybody he's just not the player he was. Maybe he might be better off back in Spain or the championship whichever.

And with swagger comes the goals you mentioned -- brave headers, predatory instincts, etc.

Totally agree with this. Unfortunately Torres now knows he is mortal, and that feeling of indomitability has gone. Once it goes it goes I'm afraid.

On to tonight, if anyone doubts that Torres is totally indulged at this club, he got 80 minutes. 80 minutes. Ba got 2 goals on his debut on Saturday, and he got 10 minutes, and in that 10 minutes, suddenly, we were playing with a centre-forward.

With Torres on the field, we were playing with 10 men.

Pathetic performance, as ever, and pathetic management. Unbelievable. It totally defies belief.

He was poor (again) tonight but so were a few of our players, for him to leave the pitch to a chorus of boos is an utter f**king disgrace.

Cheer as loud as you can for Ba, sure, but the reception Torres got tonight was IMO out of order

Remember the Jose days we had the UNTOUCHABLES like Cech, Terry, Lampard, Essien, Drogba. All in their prime

Somebody explain to me how the only UNTOUCHABLE in our squad is Fernando f**king Torres

The worse he is, the more game time he gets

What is the f**k is going on at our club???

I actually agree 100% with this, for us to hold onto Torres but not Lampard and Cole is absolutely f**king mind blowing

Looks like all those people slagging me off yesterday for saying Torres is a waste of space were bang on.

80 minutes and his only contribution was winning a free kick off chico flores that looked a dive on the replay.

10 minutes for Ba and he gets 2 headers in on goal, gets tripped by the keeper in a 1 on 1, and scores a goal that may not have even be offside.

Hope you're all happy with your star #9

I remember laughing sadly in the past at some of the stuff that happened and describing the club as a 'circus'. I never thought it would come to this - the club is dying before my very eyes. Is this the beginning of our retribution for selling our soul to the devil?

As I've said many times, the day Fernando Torres leaves this club, a huge weight will be lifted from the shoulders of

THE BOARD

THE MANAGER

THE PLAYERS

THE FANS!

I've always felt sorry for him, but maybe you are right. It can no longer be ignored that 3 managers have been sacked directly or indirectly because of Torres. I still believe Carlo could be here now, if it weren't for buying Torres.

Didn't manage to see it but did Torres get booed when he was subbed?

Yes, he was f**king shocking but the reaction to him going off was bang out of order IMO. Would have much preferred to have had just a massive cheer for Ba.

Jonty - I wasn't one of those people, but no need to be quite so smug fella!

You feel sorry for the guy on 170K a week who does consistently does f**k all and has the cheek to sulk off to the media when things don't go his way?

Torres doesn't care about the club and we shouldn't care about him.   The sooner he is forced out the sooner we can get back to the old Chelsea.

I don't agree with that. Sh1t fans boo their players and it's hardly likely to make him improve or even want to try for the club is it?

Never booed a player in my life, but had I been there, I would have just sat in silence.

Absolutely shocking.

Christ, and I thought Kezman was a frustrating player, what's he up to these days?

If they want to boo anyone they should boo the board; manager and owner for their insistence with the Passenger it's not his fault for constantly playing 90 minutes and being a Passenger.

I just want Torres to go. I dont hate the guy, Ive never insulted him, and i never will, but he needs to go.

Its not his fault he starts every game, even though we clearly have a better striker.

It would be better for everyone if Torres and Chelsea just part ways ASAP.

No I said I've always felt sorry for him, as in previously, but as I say, it can no longer be swept under the carpet that Torres has directly or indirectly been responsible for three managers being fired.

In a lot of ways Torres is under so much pressure and focus I think it would be best for us and for him to leave the club.

not a good night for Branislav Ivanovic unlucky mistakes cost us but what the f**k we wasted 80 mins with Torres didn't
do any thing to effect the game ba comes on for 10 mins all most scored 3-4 times held up the ball well our team had some one to past the ball to but f**k it 10 mins to go wtf could you have imagine what a different game could of been in ba was playing for 80 mins

playing indoors football in belgrade with a buddy of mine.

I think the boo's were exactly what was needed.

This guy is not going to give up his huge wages and take a step down to a smaller club that will have him

Roman wont get rid of him

The only way to make sure this guy is not our number 9 next season is to let him know hes not wanted here

Harsh? Yes. At this stage i dont care. The club i love is being ruined before my very eyes. You can all decide which matter more. Torres feelings or getting this club back on track. That involves losing Torres and his pal Rafa
