Just asking some questions about Chelsea, Everton and your game against us Toffee men on Sunday for

http://www.theevertonforum.co.uk/forum/forum.php

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season? - We started brightly, but feel that the results often clouded peoples perceptions of our play. Early in the season we were praised by the press for our attacking play, but i never felt confident in our performances. We did well to win at Arsenal and spurs, but other times were less convincing). More often than not, when faced with teams of quality, we have failed to win (Juve home and away, Shaktar away, Utd home  - although we were robbed, man city at home, west brom away etc)

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute? I think we deserve to be 2nd.  We should have had at least a point against utd (whcih would make them 2 less) and we should have beaten west ham but threw it away.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday? Hazard against hibbert or coleman down the left.

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him? immensly. he has been our most consistant player this year, and without him we look bereft of ideas.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?  Azpilicueta has been good, Mikel has been consistant for us yet continues to divide opinion.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular? No real change in performances from the previous season. he has scored goals but they are rarely of importance or game changing.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'? - No change from me. I respect him for his Cv and past achievements. Yet still dispise him and would like him to leave asap. That said, i think he was the best of availible candidates following RDMs dismissal.

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season? 2nd

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season? - another solid campaign from the toffees. Moyes continues to deliver on a budget. I really respect him as a manager, as well as some of your hard working players.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position? overachieving for the money spent.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Wigan team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended. - Wigan? - I take it that is chelsea? - The biggest threat is Baines whipping in crosses for Jelavic, our boys have looked ropey on crosses at certain times.

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton? Frankly he has been amazing. For the money he has been given and the contrainst to which he has worked in, the man has done brilliantly. I would love to see him given the chance with a budget half as big as ours.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season? 6th - behind (in no particular order) Us, Utd, City, Arsenal, spurs

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game? a tight 1v1.  although hopeful of a win for the boys in blue....our boys of course!

:good2:

Welcome to the board, i have given my thoughts on your questions above . I wonder which is us will be the bitterest blue nose come sunday?!

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season?

3rd in the league is fine. Everyone thought it would be a two horse race this term so we can't complain. Drogba gone, Terry has missed games, as has Lampard. We really are seeing a new Chelsea developing and it is quite an inexperienced side, comparitively, though we have some wonderful talents.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute?

I don't think you'll find too many complaining at our league position. Obviously the game at the Bridge against Utd, where we had 2 sent off, has had a bearing on both our respective positions. Having said that, Utd are ahead of us on merit.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday?

Mata is the best player in the league, IMO, and the heartbeat of this team. Hazard is electric. Moses, Ramires, Oscar, we will pose loads of threat. Lampard always does well against you but he may not play. Cahill and Ivanovic have both scored loads of goals from set-pieces this term.

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him?

Streets ahead of everybody else. He's a brilliant player and the true heir to Zola. Great from set-pieces, perpetual movement, touch, skill, intelligence, vision. He has a real cutting edge. If he's having a good day, you're having a bad day.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

Not really.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?

I don't rate him at all and I think he has a poor character. After Drogba, this boy pales in comparison. Yes he's scored a few this term but most of those have beeen meaningless goals against poor opposition. In the big games against the best teams he always comes up short. Along with Mikel, he's the weak link in this side.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'?

I will never accept him. He's a despicable man in my opinion and I don't care how well we do under him. Every win feels bittersweet by virtue of his presence. People think we don't accept him because of the Liverpool connection, which is wrong. We simply don't like the man, and most of us never will.

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

2nd.

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season?

Brilliantly. Love your team love your manager. Not too fond of your fans but you're better than the other lot across the road from you. Far better.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position?

With your finances, you're clearly overachieving, due to smart management.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Wigan team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended.

We are Chelsea not Wigan, but it's an easy mistake to make. Fellaini is a big loss to you. I rate Baines very highly. I rate Jelavic.

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton?

Quite simply, if I could have my pick, I would have him at Chelsea. Obviously he's not in Jose's class but Jose wouldn't bring stability. I love Moyes. A good old-fashioned manager with old-fashioned virtues. He's learned his craft and now he's bloody good at it. He needs to win things though, that's the next challenge for him. I don't think he would accept Chelsea in a million years, he's far too smart.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season?

Outside the top four, sadly. If you finish 5th or 6th you've done remarkably well.

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game?

I think we'll nick it. Fellaini's loss being a factor.

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season?

I won't give you an essay...! But it's been up and down to say the least. Losing a club legend and replacing him with Benitez is probably the worst thing the club has ever done in my lifetime. Football wise - we've played some lovely stuff at times but also been too lethargic which I believe has cost us a genuine chance at the title. Top 4 is a must and without sounding like Wenger - that must be our main aim.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute?

The table doesn't lie, we're where we are because of some lame-arsed performances. That said with all the negative stuff at least we're not totally out of everything, it can still be a fairly successful season. Next year November really needs to be removed from the calendar though.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday?

Mata, little genius!

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him?

See above, I know we paid a fair whack for him but he has been worth every penny. He sees things others don't and his finishing is top quality. He has his quiet moments but when he's on the ball and looks up he can usually pick out the perfect chance for Torres etc.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

It's been hit and miss... I'm going to say Cech because without him we would be a lot lower in the league.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?

You'll notice the split this man causes when others reply to this thread...! I will just say that if he keeps on scoring then I'm fine with that. He could score 40 and certain people on here will still say he's sh*t. He could score 0 and others will say he's not been given the service. I think he's been okay, I don't loathe his existence and I don't think he's the messiah.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'?

No, he can sod off and take his entrée with him.

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

Top 4... please!

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season?

Every time I notice an Everton result (not meaning to sound arrogant, but of course I will always look at the Manchester clubs results with more interest than most) they always seem to win. Some good players but because they put the effort in they become a touch more than just 'good'. I like Everton and always have. Moyes is class, you play some good football and you're not inbreds like the red half.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position?

Overachieving but only because compared to those around you, you've spent next to nothing. With a cash injection who knows where you could go. Everton deserve European football and I hope they get it next year. I would like to add however that although you may be seen as overachieving - you deserve to be where you are, no fluke/luck/other teams being crap involved.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Wigan team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended.

I'll answer this as a Chelsea fan and not Wigan...  I believe Fellaini is still out? Anyway even if he was in the side I'd still go for Pienaar. He was mad to leave you, loved by the fans and his play suited your style... but anyway, he has a low centre of gravity, he can pick out a pass and he scores. Also add Baines and Jelavic to that.

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton?

You wonder how far he could take Everton with money you really do... Top Manager, humble, knows his stuff, motivates the team and doesn't come across as an arseh*le. To keep you are where you are in however many years he's been at the club is remarkable. He'll never win Manager of the year which is a shame, he deserves it at least once.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season?

I really don't know... Hopefully top 6.

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game?

Don't do predictions, sorry

Edit - How come I can edit this post but not the opening post?

You can only go back and edit a post in a certain amount of time, once that's elapsed you can no longer make amendments. Think it's 15 minutes?

You'll get more replies, we're a nice bunch

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season?

About as well as most had hoped in the league. Despite our strong start I didn't get too carried away and still thought we'd be hard pressed to challenge the terrible twosome from Manchester. I will admit to getting a bit giddy after our tour de force at three point lane, thinking that we might just have a shot at something special, but the subsequent Manchester United result put paid to any title delusions.

Europe has been a big disappointment, but it wasn't a failure that merited Robbie's sacking. We racked up a solid points haul in what retrospectively proved to be a tougher group than most had imagined going into it. I can only speak for myself when I say that I underestimated Shaktar a wee bit, but I'm sure others did as well.

The losses in the two show piece 'finals' were both embarrassing, particularity the drubbing at the hands of Athletico Madrid.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute?

I'm not delighted, but I'm hardly disappointed. It's exactly where most expected us to be and I can't see us being dislodged from third place.

Do we deserve to be where we are? I'd argue that we deserve to be three points closer to United.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday?

Fernando Torres has scored a fair few goals on Merseyside before, has he not?

Really though, I think Juan Mata is in superb form as of now and is comfortably our most threatening player going forward. Underestimate him at your peril.

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him?

Well, my previous comment says it all. Last season I think few could have imagined the impact Juan would have, and with the addition of Oscar and Hazard this season he's managed to look even better.

He has the odd anonymous game but they are very much few and far between, and now that we aren't relying on him as our sole creative force in midfield they don't detract from the team as much.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

I don't think so, no.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?

We've had many 'is Fernando back' moments over the past year, It's fair to say that everybody has resigned themselves to the fact that he never will be 'back' to the potent striker we saw at Liverpool all those years ago. He has been banging in goals against beatable opponents, but he still can't turn up in the big matches. I certainly think he can contribute going forward, but the board have to accept that the move has backfired spectacularly and that they need to get another striker in.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'?

The jury handed out a guilty verdict years ago, we're awfully frightened to see the chap out and about on our touchline.

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

Third.

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season?

Very well, Everton have always been a club that I've been rather enamoured with, and I've been very pleased to see you finally managing to start a season off strongly as opposed to doing it late.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position?

Overachieving. The word isn't really apt, however, but you certainly aren't underachieving. Kenwright needs to get his chequebook out.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Wigan team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended.

Leighton Baines.

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton?

He truly is one of my favourite managers in the game.

I have a penchant for Scottish managers and would absolutely love to see him given the reigns at the bridge, but after nearly two decades of continental gaffers I've basically resigned myself to the fact that I won't see another British manager at Chelsea during my lifetime.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season?

I honestly hope you snag fourth, but without significant investment I think it might be a bit of a tall order. Rest assured that myself and many others will be firmly backing you and hoping that you can spoil the European ambitions of Spurs and Arsenal. Not West Brom though, I love Steve Clarke!

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game?

2-1 to Chelsea, a Mata double and a Rafael Benitez own goal (don't ask me how that one works, just roll with it).

Edited by Lofty 1905

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season?

Great start to the season followed by a blip in form which was responded to excessively by Roman followed by a disgraceful decision to appoint Benitez.  One of the most shameful decisions ever made by the owner of our club and sooner it is reversed the better.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute?

I have no complaint with our league position.  It is about par when you consider we don't have the quality up front that both United and City have.  I think we deserve to be third but certainly don't deserve to be higher.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday?

As always it will be Mata. Head and shoulders our best player and, along with RVP, should be a strong contender for player of the season (so far anyway - Michu also in with a shout)

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him?

See my answer to 3.  I rate him about as highly as it is possible to rate a player.  If he stays with us for a number of seasons (and remains largely injury free)  he has every chance of being considered by Chelsea fans alongside the likes of Zola and Osgood as our finest ever player.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

Maybe Cahill hasn't got as much credit as he deserves for stepping in and doing JT's job.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?

To be honest I don't the media have been that harsh on him.  In fact I think they could have beem more harsh over the life of his career with Chelsea.  This season he is scoring more but I am still to be convinced. Most of his goals have come against weak opposition and I still see him as a player who disappears too often and doesn't do enough to help his own cause.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'?

There are some fans who will accept him as long as we win. I am not one of them  The jury is not out as far as I am concerned. The jury has been sent home to return to their day jobs for there is no need for discussion!  The sooner he leaves the better.

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

If we buy a striker in January and they settle in quickly (and play well) then I can see us piping City to second spot.  If we don't I think third is as much as we can hope for.

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season?

Fantastically well.  Sitting in fifth just now ( fifth is surely the very best you could hope for), extremely competitive (especially at Goodison) and once again Moyes is getting the very best out of Fellaini (who is massive for you).  I didn't expect Jelavic to get the number of goals he has got since singing from Rangers and Mirallas has been excellent.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position?

Maybe over achieving a tad but not by much. If you look at your squad compared with other teams then it is arguable that yours is good enough to get fifth spot.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Wigan team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended.

Let us hope we don't put out our Wigan team!  Fellaini being out is a big bonus for us.  Mirallas is the one we need to watch.  I would like to think that our centre halves should be good enough, and strong enough, to keep Jelavic quiet.

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton?

Impossible to be anything but impressed.  Time and time again he has spent less than most, and achieved more than most. Surely he is considered a legend of Everton history.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season?

I would like you to finish fourth and keep Spurs out of the CL however I don't think you will achieve that and I suspect Arsenal will finish above you.  So 6th spot is my prediction.

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game?

Tough tough game. Fellaini being out swings things in our favour a little however home advantage is massive for you.  I can see it being a score draw - possibly 2-2.

I come in peace

Just asking some questions about Chelsea, Everton and your game against us Toffee men on Sunday for

http://www.theevertonforum.co.uk/forum/forum.php

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season?

So-so. Getting knocked out of the CL at the Group Stage was a massive disappointment. However, our league form is looking up, and we have secured some of the brightest talent in the world on long term contracts. The future is bright. With or without FSW.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute?

Absolutely. We've been poor at the back at times. Our attacking play is inconsistent but hopefully that's only due to team gelling and foreign players getting use to the pace and power of the PL

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday?

Mata and Hazard. Moses could cause problems too.

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him?

Probably one of the best players in the Premier League at the moment. Absolutely adore him. A model professional on and off the pitch. Has a blog to communicate with the fans and speaks very highly of Chelsea. I can see him being a club legend.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

Ivanovic has been really good. I don't think too many people are talking about what he's brought to Chelsea the last few months. Can play as a right back, a centre back. Scores goals and can strike fear into any striker he plays against. Looks like an absolute tank.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?

Fair play to him, he's playing OK but I would prefer it if he scored more important goals. He only really scores in thrashings although it was nice to see him get the opener against Villa.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'?

I don't like him for what he said in the past. A part of me understands most of it was down to the rivalry between the clubs and the tribal way of the Premier League, but some things he said about us fans being plastic, and criticizing us for waving flags when teams like Dortmund, Celtic, Barcelona, Man United, Arsenal and many many more clubs do the same, was a little ignorant of him. I even saw most of the Liverpool players in the F.A Cup Final wave flags and scarves (upside down I might add).

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

2nd or 3rd. I can't see us winning the title and I can't see us missing out on CL qualification.

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season?

Excellent. David Moyes is a superb manager and you have some real gems.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position?

I would say you're achieving. You're better than Liverpool and I would say on the same level as spurs and arse. Three way fight between you lot for CL qualification. Perhaps WBA in the mix too.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Wigan team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended.

Pienar

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton?

Amazing job. A classy guy as well.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season?

5th. As long as you beat Liverpool.

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game?

1- 3

When you  create the post can you put a link to it here as I know some people like to read the reaction from the other team's supporters.

Will do.

At the rate the replies are coming in at the minute it will be going up tonight or tomorrow morning. Should have seen trying to do it for Wigan...

Just asking some questions about Chelsea, Everton and your game against us Toffee men on Sunday for

http://www.theevertonforum.co.uk/forum/forum.php

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season?

Predictable enough , do very well in some games looking like unbeatables and then go missing. Que sera.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute?

TBH we deserve where we are , a shocking November tells a sorry tale.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday?

Mata if he's on it is savage.

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him?

Early on in his Chelsea career but surely a likeness to Zola if he carries on this way.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

Lampard , it will be shocking if we let him go.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?

Ups and downs , some days he just doesn't look interested and that gets our backs up , if someone tries they will generally be supported , but the minute they give up , troble is in store.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'?

Get him out of my club.

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

3rd

9.Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season?

Real good , Screech , Jelavic et al are doing really well , sh*t even Gibson looks decentish !

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position?

Neither , I've always seen Everton as a decent club , good football. Always given us a game when we went to Goodison never really seen them roll over. Given the limited funds available Moyes is doing a great job.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Wigan team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended.

Jelavic

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton?

Outstanding , great response from him when ratface went diving in front of him. Sums up his class.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season?

Top 6

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game?

No chance , hoping for us obviously.

Just asking some questions about Chelsea, Everton and your game against us Toffee men on Sunday for

http://www.theevertonforum.co.uk/forum/forum.php

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season? Results wise, we've been fine. At the beginning of the year, I'd have accepted a third place finish and that's where we are right now. The lack of success we've had outside of the Premiership is infuriating, however. Dropping a two goal lead against a Juventus team that we were handily outplaying was infuriating, as was the debacle of the second leg in Turin. The loss to Corinthians was absolutely disgraceful in the Club World Cup and a truly embarrassing result.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute? I think we deserve to be higher. We deserved to beat Man U, as we were clearly the better team, were hammering them with 11 men, still outplaying them with 10 and only were overcome after we went down to 9 men and then had an offside goal scored against us. One of the worst officiating performances in the history of the sport and I believe that we spiraled out of control for a bit after that. Our poor run led to Roman rashly deciding to sack Di Matteo and it seems that we've only recently recovered, although it's hard to say considering the poor quality of our opposition as of late.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday? Mata is always the biggest threat when he's on the pitch. He's a little munchkin wizard with skill, vision, creativity and a pretty sweet beard. Without the beard, he'd still be deadly, but having it allows him to tap into the berserker rage of the dwarven clans of antiquity.

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him? Best player on the team and a very good shout for the best player in the Premiership. He has no peers at his position.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season? Based on the media's perception or our own supporters? I think that Mata is still underrated by the media. You hear a lot of comparisons with Santi Cazorla, which I think are ridiculous. Juan Mata is so much better than Cazorla that you'd have to be blind or touched in the head to think otherwise. On the other hand, I think that John Obi Mikel is still underrated by a somewhat vocal subsection of our fanbase.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular? Poorly - the sooner he's gone, the better off we'll be. He's been scoring goals lately against very poor quality opposition. I'm not going to absolve a man who still has an inferior scoring rate to Andriy Schevchenko just because he's scored against the likes of Nordsjaelland, Monterrey, Aston Villa, etc.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'? I can't speak for everyone, but there isn't a single Chelsea supporter that I know and respect who's come to terms with him. Rafa is even less welcome than Torres. Let me make something clear, however. You ask if the jury's still out, implying that our opinion of him will be influenced by the results he achieves. That isn't the case, for me at least. If we win the Premiership with him at the helm, I'll still be calling for his head. The man disgusts me, it sickens me to my core when I see him wearing our badge, I hate that he has weaseled his way into a job he doesn't deserve and I want to punch my television when he opens his whore mouth and has the audacity to speak for this club.

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season? In order of likelihood - third, second, fourth. I can't see us winning the league, which is a shame because if not for Clattenburg, we'd be in the thick of the race.

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season? I think you've done well. You seem to get a lot of draws and your road form is less than inspiring, which makes me think that your current position may not be sustainable, but for where you are currently, I'm impressed.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position? Overachieving, but only slightly. I'm not convinced that you're a better team than Arsenal or West Brom and both Stoke and Swansea could conceivably surpass you as well. I think you're at least as good as all of those teams, but I don't think there's a huge gap.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Wigan team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended. Our Wigan team? Even if Fellaini weren't suspended, he wouldn't be my choice. Our center halves are big and physical, I think they'd do well enough against him. The concern I have revolves around the combination of Pienaar and Baines, specifically how well they combine and overlap in attack. We've struggled to deal with pace on the flanks more than we've struggled to deal with strength in the center.

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton? I think he's a very good manager for a club like Everton, but I think he'd be our of his depth at a larger club. That's good news for you, of course. You'll do well as long as he's there, but I certainly wouldn't want him at Chelsea.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season? 5th - 7th. I can't see you falling lower than 7th unless you have atrocious luck with injuries, but I also can't see you rising any higher than 5th.

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game? 2-1 Chelsea. Considering that you lot usually give us fits, I wouldn't be at all surprised if we lost, but we really shouldn't.

Edited by That Boy Brandinho

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season?

It's not been a great season so far, we lost out on 3 potential trophies we had excellent chances of winning (Shield, UEFA Super Cup, CWC), and became the first CL champions to get knocked out at the group stage, while in the league we've been very inconsistent. That being said, this time last year we were in an even worse position and it ended up being the greatest season in our history, and I think this season still has a lot of potential.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute?

Not at all. Prior to being robbed against United at the Bridge by Clattenburg with those two red cards and the offside goal, we were overwhelmingly the best team, and from there it sort of fell apart. It's very frustrating to think that with a competent/unbiased ref that RDM would probably still be in charge, and we'd likely still be well out in front. Since that game we have been pretty awful a lot of the time and deservedly have dropped points.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday?

As in every game, Mata will be our main threat, his amazing assists/goals per game ratio speaks for itself. However, on his day Hazard can provide an even bigger threat, he's been a little inconsistent over the past 2 months but recently he's been looking good again, and on his day can tear up defences by himself.

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him?

He has the potential to become our greatest ever player I feel, he's the player we've been looking for for many years with the likes of J.Cole and Deco, and finally we have him. If he can continue to be so consistently brilliant he'll go down as one of the all time greats.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

Cech has always been undervalued by the media. Especially this season as you see a string of cockups by Hart, Reina and De Gea, Cech has been consistently quality as always and is rarely ever given the praise he deserves. Oscar is another player thats been consistently good all season but for reasons I cannot understand, has been slated by a few pundits for being a flop in comparison to our other signings. Luiz is another player that came under more stick than anyone (except Torres) last season, and he's continued to improve, something which those same critics don't appear so eager to discuss.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?

His goalscoring record this season is a bit deceiving, rarely do his goals make the difference in games and they rarely come in the big ones. Not to slate him off completely, some of his goals have been important and he has definitely improved under the FSW, but if we're to realistically compete for top trophies going forward we need another striker.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'?

I was reading some comments on a football news site yesterday, where a lot of "fans" were talking about how rubbish RDM was and how great Rafa is. Every big team has their ill-informed supporters but the majority of the core of the support still want him out. That being said, i'm not as anti-FSW as a lot of the people on here, my love for the club and hate for Fergie and United far overshadow my dislike of the FSW, and I certainly wouldn't go so far as to wish we do badly to get rid of him (as some do).

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

Title challenge isn't yet over, I think our game against you is going to be massive in seeing whether we've truly returned to form. A win at Everton would be massive, a place we've struggled in recent years, and would make me confident that we can challenge. United continue to win games while playing poorly, but surely their luck is going to run out eventually, and City are already falling away. With the addition of a new striker in January I think we'll have all the quality we need and i'd cautiously predict we'll be somewhere around the top come May.

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season?

Brilliantly. Fellaini is probably the only player in the league worth comparing to Mata in discussion of this season's best player so far, and even without him you've managed to grind out some tough wins. You guys normally start slow and finish strong, so if you guys can finish strong this season the top 4 is not out of the question.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position?

I think looking at the resources available to you, and the age/quality of some areas of your team, you're definitely overachieving to be competing with the likes of Arsenal and Spuds. That being said, you have one of the league's best managers, and a few real quality players like Fellaini, Jelavic, Baines & Pienaar, so it's not totally unexpected that you're there.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Wigan team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended.

Probably Pienaar, we have a habit of making problems for ourselves and he's one of those players that really thrives on that.

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton?

Excellent manager, if he were Spanish or Italian he'd probably be coaching a top CL team by now, but it's too unfashionable for big teams to hire British managers.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season?

Would love to see you guys (or West Brom) take 4th over Arsenal/Spurs/Liverpool, a lot of it depends on whether you hold on to Fellaini until season's end, if you do then i'd still expect the depth of Arsenal/Spurs to come through in the end, but i'd be surprised to see you finish below 6th.

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game?

2-1 win for us, you've got a few players out and we're high on confidence right now.

Best of luck.

I come in peace

Just asking some questions about Chelsea, Everton and your game against us Toffee men on Sunday for

http://www.theevertonforum.co.uk/forum/forum.php

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season?

It looked like we flew out of the blocks but the early points were from games we should have won anyway (Wigan, Reading, Newcastle). When we faced our first real test, Arsenal Away, we rose to the occasion albeit with a spot of luck. After the Tottenham game I felt we were going to really mount a title challence but since the Utd game (Robbed) it seems to have gone a bit pete tong. 3rd place is about right I guess as the media predicted a Manchester battle for the title. CL-wise, very very dissapointing.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute?

Its about right, we have started to get back on track recently after some fairly poor results against WBA, West Ham, Fulham and Liverpool. I would take 3rd at the end of the season as we are in a bit of a transition season with so many new young faces coming in and some of the old guard seemingly on their way out.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday?

Only 1 contender really, The Matador!

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him?

I think what you have to consider is where we would be without him this season. He is literally Zola Mark II

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

Victor Moses seems to have made some impressive performances but to be fair the media have praised him and the FSW has been starting him recently.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?

Nothing has changed. What annoys me more than anything is his lack of desire or passion. He is a far cry from Didi who wore his heart on his sleeve for this club. Torres seems to behave a little petulant at times even though he is being given every chance possible to impress.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'?

The sooner he goes, the sooner I can really enjoy a Chelsea win. At the moment there is still a bitter taste in my mouth when we get a good result because I know the media will look to credit him and question why the Chelsea faithful won't start to back him. That will never ever happen. I would however enjoy him winning against Liverpool at Anfield later in the season!

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

3rd

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season?

Very Impressive. In all fairness it must be very very enjoyable being an Everton fan. Your manager has done exceptional when you consider the money which has been thrown at the likes of QPR yet you find yourself consistantly fighting for european spots every year.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position?

Overachieving. Most teams on your budget would be fighting relegation.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Chelsea team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended.

Well I notice that Jelavic isn't really in great form at the moment which is good for us. I find Osman always tends to have a good game against us so ill go for him. Also Baines if we Mikel gives away his customary 'Edge of the box' free kick away.

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton?

Would love him at Chelsea but I completly understand why a manager like him wouldnt want to ruin his reputation by coming to a club like us. He doesnt have any pressure at Everton and the board give him full control of his squad which has proved to serve you well. I can imagine him being the sucessor to Bacon Face at Utd and spending a long time there.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season?

Above Liverpool easily but not in the top 4. Top 4 will probably be both Manchester clubs, Chelsea and then either Tottenham or Arsenal.

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game?

1-1

:good2:

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season?

We had a very good start but our typical drop in form in November has cost us. We've started picking up again and it shows with our 8-0 win over Villa, and then a good 1-0 win over Norwich which is proving to be a tough place to go when you consider that United and Arsenal left empty handed. Before the last couple of weeks damage has been done and we've missed out on four trophies (FCWC, Super Cup, Community Shield and CL) but other than that we have a lot of potential and we are far from out of the title race. Get 3 points against Everton on Sunday and the pressure is on City.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute?

Based on the fantastic start we had I'd say we've been unfortunate but that's football. As I said before our drop in form has cost us so for that reason we deserve to be where we are. It looks like we are picking up again but our team is in a transition so we can't expect too much until the younger players gel properly. However like Jonty said ever since we were robbed by Clattenburg we've been going downhill and it massively disrupted our form, and had we not lost that game we'd probably still be in top position a few points above United.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday?

If Hazard and Moses are playing on the flanks then I think they will try to exploit Everton's older defenders and give them a tough time. Luiz will also be a threat as he has been great since we moved him up into the DM role. Obviously Mata will also be a threat as he is on great form so quite self explanatory.

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him?

I rate him extremely highly and he's been our best player and I even think that he could go on to be one of our best players ever if he keeps it up. Our style of play suits him perfectly and I definitely think that having other players in the team with similar talents (Hazard and Oscar) has helped him a lot. He was great last season but so far he's really shown what he can do and shown off his talent. However having said that Hazard has been playing spectacularly in the last few games and him and Mata will be the ones to watch.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

I definitely think that Mata and Cech are massively underrated by the common supporter and the media. Mata speaks for himself and in my honest opinion I think he's already better than and has the potential to be better than David Silva ever was. Cech has been the most consistent keeper in the league ever since he joined us and he hasn't made one mistake this season. One thing that annoys me is other fans saying Joe Hart is the best when Cech is better by a significant margin. The error made by Joe Hart against Sunderland says it all in my opinion. How many times have you seen Cech make mistakes like that?

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?

He's obviously made an improvement but he'll never be the player he once was. Although he's scoring goals (some pretty good ones as well) they have been quite insignificant as far as scorelines have gone and until he starts scoring in big games I'll continue to feel disappointed. Ask someone like Kompany how much they fear having to defend against Torres and he will say not much. But as I said there is a definite improvement.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'?

I think some fans are coming to terms with him being the manager but he's by no means liked. I dislike him as much as the next Chelsea fan but you have to give him some credit for the last few weeks and to say that he's contributed nothing good is ignorant. He's still the fat Spanish waiter to us and I don't see him ever being fully accepted at Chelsea and to be fair it's understandable.

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

At the moment it's tough to tell because we haven't been very consistent recently. I'd say we can get second or maybe even first if United cock up, because it's by no means impossible. Winning the league is nice but as far as CL qualification goes there isn't much difference between finishing 1st and finishing 4th, just a bit of extra ego.

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season?

I personally think that Everton have done very well. There has been a drop in form in the last couple of weeks but that's mostly due to the absence of Fellaini and once he's back you'll be a force to be reckoned with once more. You've had some very good results as well i.e. the 1-0 against United on the first day of the season.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position?

If you look at how well you have done and the results you've had I'd say you're overachieving. Baines and Fellaini have been particularly good and have played fantastically. Given your position with the age of some of your players and your line-up on paper you've been very impressive.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Wigan team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended.

Pienaar or Jelavic will cause problems but I still think the absence of Fellaini will have a big impact on the game and could even be the factor that affects the result of the game. He's the sort of player you'd want on your team for big games such as this.

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton?

David Moyes is by far one of the best managers in the league. He's done an extremely good job of buying the players that he has on a tight budget and also getting the best out of them. I personally have no problems with David Moyes and I respect him for what he has done.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season?

You are definitely capable of finishing 5th or 6th and maybe even 4th. With Arsenal and LiverFools's quality falling in recent years Everton have a good chance to go for the Champions League spot and it's a realistic target. I don't think you'll finish any higher than that simply because there is an obvious difference in the overall quality of the top 3 compared to other top 10 teams bar United who basically rely solely on their attack to get the job done, and, to be fair, they do get the job done.

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game?

As I said before I think Fellaini being absent will be the decider in this game and without him your other midfielders might have problems coping with Mata and Hazard. Goodison Park is a tough place to go so probably 2-1 to us.

Edited by omnidroid70

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season?

Pretty well, considering we got rid of one of our best managers in years less than halfway through and replaced him with a c*nt.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute?

The main reason we're third is not so much to do with how well we're doing as the other top 4 contenders not doing so well. We can play superbly and we can play sh*te, and us fans never know which it will be until each game kicks off.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday?

Mata, obviously, though Hazard, Moses and Oscar are all a threat too. Torres could cause you problems if he gets the service.

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him?

He's a top player with a great attitude, he deserves all the plaudits that are coming his way

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

David Luiz gets a lot of stick for making silly mistakes - others make similar mistakes (Lampard, for example) yet that hardly merits a mention. Mikel is also very under-rated in my opinion

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?

Torres needs decent service from the midfield and wide players, but doesn't get that in every game. I rate Torres highly, but he can be a bit unreliable - runs his socks off in one game, and wanders around looking disinterested in another - maybe it's down to the service in each match?

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'?

Some posters on this forum seem to like him for some reason I can't fathom. The vast majority of Chelsea fans at the Bridge hate Benitez with a passion though, and with good reason. He slagged down our club and our fans while in charge at Anfield, then acts surprised when the fans give him stick. Abramovich couldn't have picked a more unpopular man to be our manager if he'd tried. I don't care if Benitez achieves any success at Chelsea, I just want the c*nt out of my club.

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

Realistically, top four is all I'm hoping for

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season?

Everton are playing well and getting results, hope you keep it up and finish above Liverpool!

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position?

I think top six is a realistic target, you're where you are on merit

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Chelsea team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended.

Baines and Pienaar always seem to play well, glad Fellaini is out of it. Osman is very under-rated in my opinion

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton?

David Moyes is easily one of the best managers in Britain, if he had money available Everton would be a real force to be reckoned with

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season?

Top six, if you can keep up your form

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game?

Always nervous before Everton away - goes back to the 70's when we got thrashed on a regular basis at Goodison! I'm obviously hoping for a win, but will be happy with a draw - 1-1.

I come in peace

Just asking some questions about Chelsea, Everton and your game against us Toffee men on Sunday for

http://www.theevertonforum.co.uk/forum/forum.php

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season?

Okay. I'm a bit disappointed with the trail off in the title race, but you can't expect miracles. Like him or not, Rafa has done a decent job getting us back looking like a force again and I believe we are moving in the right direction again.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute?

Yeah. We've definitely been better than the teams below us, but obviously fallen short of competing with the two Manchester clubs. Still early days though.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday?

I'd probably have to go with Juan Mata. Reckon Torres will score though.

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him?

Top draw. He's a quality player and we're lucky to have him. I can only see him producing the goods in spades this season.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

David Luiz has made some pretty glaring errors and cost us points, that's undeniable. But Rafa seems to be playing him to his strengths at the moment which obviously lie more in midfield. He's a great player once he's played right.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?

He's had some howlers, hasn't he? But I think he's made sufficient progress since Rafa came in. Didn't do too badly under RDM, but you can see the difference since Benitez took the reins. Clearly he knows how to get him playing to his strengths, and if he can keep him scoring that can only be good news for us.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'?

We're all divided on that one, the majority it's fair to say are against him. I've never had a problem with him though. If he can get us results, that's what matters.

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

3rd.

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season?

Very well. I'm impressed with Everton given Moyes has hardly any money to spend. But you have some seriously good players like Fellaini, Jageilka and Baines. I can see you finishing in the top six.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position?

To be honest, overachieving. But only cos you have so little funds and aren't really known as a top English club, no offence, not in the way that we are, or United or City. But you're really doing well, you should be proud.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Wigan team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended.

Erm...do you mean Chelsea there, mate? I'd say Baines, he's some player. Jelavic is quality too.

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton?

Top manager. To be honest I'd have him at Chelsea.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season?

Sixth.

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game?

Gonna go with 2-1 to Chelsea.

:good2:
1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season? Not too bad overall. I would have been disappointed if at the beginning of the season we weren't at least 3rd at xmas. And considering we've had a stacked fixture list, travelling long distances, and changed manager, we've done OK. With the quality of players we have anything less than 3rd at this point would have been disappointing. if we had a world class striker I think we'd be top of the league.

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute? Yes, arguably slightly higher, or at least closer to United.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday? Mata is a threat to any team in the world. Hazard is world class and still has plenty of room for improvement. Moses direct-ness causes serious trouble for fullbacks.

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him? Mata is pure world class. He could get into any team in the world, including Barcelona. His deliveries from set pieces are the best I've ever seen. He is currently the best player in the league.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season? I've been saying for a while that Hazard deserves more credit. People talk about a recent resurgence after a dip in form but really it was the team whose form dipped, Hazard has been consistently one of our most dangerous players all season. Ramires is highly regarded by almost everyone but still deserves more credit for his performances. Cech is the same.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?  Torres is sh*t and gets more credit than he deserves. He has noticeably started trying harder under Benitez and although he has scored more regularly of late, his movement is still extremely poor. And his finishing is generally terrible.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'? He'll always be a fat Spanish w**ker. He's already contributed to f**king up one of the most important trophies of the season. He will never be accepted.

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season? 3rd. Anything less is unacceptable. I still think we can win the league, mostly because United and City really aren't that good this season. Everyone's defending is terrible.

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season? Best start to a season I can remember for Everton and I think its between yourselves and Spurs for 4th.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position? I've always felt that with your players you are overachieving, but you have quality players, most notably Baines and Fellaini. Mirallas is also very good. If you had a better centre forward you'd be the firm favourites for 4th at least.

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Chelsea team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended. Baines and Pienaar.

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton? He's done a very good job. A sort of scaled down version of the way Ferguson manages. Would probably do well at a bigger club but will struggle to find anyone to take the risk.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season? I reckon 4th is a realistic position.

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game? I think we'll sneak it. Defensively we are pretty sound. If our forwards show up I think we'll grab a 2-1, but I wouldn't be disappointed with a draw.

:good2:

1. How do you think Chelsea have fared this season?

As well as I had expected to be honest.  Losing Drogba, a few of the old guard a season more in their legs, coming back down to earth after the unexpected last season, and then bringing in a few new, young first teamers.  I was only hoping for a top 4 and maybe a domestic cup

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being 11 points from top and occupying 3rd place just after Christmas, but do you think you deserve to be where you are at the minute?

Pretty much exactly where I expected us to be at the end of the season, or 4th.  So I am fine with where we are...just not how we got here.

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Everton on Sunday?

Mata in open play.  Luiz in dead ball situations.  Cahill ro Ivan at set pieces.

4. With the wealth of absolute quality in your team the media always focuses on individuals and you can't ignore the goal scoring and assisting from Mata this season. How do you rate him?

I would hate to think where we would be without him, and at times I fear he'll take a look around at some of the circus that surrounds our team and decide to head back to Spain.

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

Hazard.  He is a great, young player and started brightly (as did all the team) and now he's suddenly "off the boil" or an "expensive outlay for a mediocre player."  I think that's harsh.  Also, he seems to be getting a lot of non calls against him merely because he draws a lot of fouls, and is unfairly being labelled a diver.

6. The media treat Torres harshly in my opinion and more recently he has been scoring more regularly. How do you think he has done, this season in particular?

He's ok.  We paid over the odds for him, but that's not his fault.  He seems to sulk one minute and then show up the next.  However, I think he needs to quit dropping so deep, and just stay in the area.  we have enough creativity behind him for him to be a poacher and finish.

7. The fans reaction to Rafa Benitez coming in has been much publicised. Are any of your fans coming to terms with him or is it still jury out for 'the fat Spanish waiter'?

Shouldn't be here.  I've never liked him, and i know of no other manager who has attacked opposing fans in the media.  Other teams, other manager, sure...but FSW went for the fans, and we're meant to warm to him?  It also doesn't help that he replaced a club legend like RDM

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

Top 4.

9. Moving on to Everton... How do you think we have fared this season?

Good, actually quite like Everton a bit and always want to see you do better than the red half of Merseyside.

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current top 5 position?

Right where you should be

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your CHELSEA team in the upcoming game? Bear in mind Fellaini is still out suspended.

Baines and the striker you got from Rangers.

12. What is your opinion of David Moyes and what do you make of the job he has done for Everton?

Would love Moyes at Chesea.  Managed to get you into a great team with little financial backing.  Also, I'm Scottish, so may be a little biased.

13. Where do you think us Toffee's will finish come the end of the season?

I think it is between you, Spuds and Arsenal for 4th.

14. Finally, predictions for the Sunday lunch time game?

Sorry, don't do predictions, but you'll miss Felaini.  But Goodison is a tough fixture, so i'd be VERY happy with a win

Cheers Walker. Appreciate the responses on your site. Surprised to see some comments about how well thought of Moyes is. I would have thought Everyone fans would be fairly unanimous in their praise of him. Surely, on average, he has delivered results which at the very least meet expectation and often exceeded.
