October 5, 201312 yr He'd still make a great impact sub if we had him here, and he could work on his fitness with much better coaches and facilities than Everton have. But I suppose we;ll just have to struggle on with Torres incapable of scoring in the league, Eto'o who is way past it and a very strange transfer, and Ba who has seemingly been lost down the back of the fridge somewhere.
October 5, 201312 yr He looked very lazy at times in second half. A very lazy Lukaku still scored more than our strikers put together.Give me that 'lazy'striker any day !
October 5, 201312 yr problem is he might not be able to last, he is HUGE- to move that giant body around he uses massive amounts of energy...hes a legit 8 man for gods sake lol...of the big men in the league though, noone can move like him, noone can skin players like him...we need to bring him back plain and simple! btw it burns me more to see Sturridge score again...w**ker was dancing right in front of palace fans too
October 5, 201312 yr Ya this is what I don't get. I get killed every time I say something negative, about a team playing bad or an odd decision by the manager mind you, then the untouchables on here like dkw or Zola pick at Lukaku for being tired or lazy? C'mon. The kid has scored 4 fricken goals already and you are picking at him? Ya and I am the negative one.
October 5, 201312 yr The problem is you ONLY have negative things to say. And its usually the same thing repeated multiple times.

Hes a great player, but its a fair comment. As others have commented, with his mass, fitness may be an issue that needs sorted if he is ever to lead our line week in week out. As for the untouchable comment, no idea what you're smoking!
October 5, 201312 yr The problem is you ONLY have negative things to say. And its usually the same thing repeated multiple times. Ok so whats worse. Being negative about a crap performance from a player who was overpaid for or being negative about a kid that has scored 4 goals in 3 games? And Zola, i apologize. I believe I hace wrongly dragged you into something you werent apart of.
October 5, 201312 yr Strikers that have left Chelsea this year have Scored 31 PL goals in 2013. This picture pisses me off nearly as much as seeing Torres spooning that chance against United last year.

October 5, 201312 yr i think he still needs to lose some weight. He will always struggle to last for the full 90 with that amount of muscle On the contrary, being stronger in a professional footballers case means better stamina. A lot of it is to do with muscle fibres (slow and fast twitch) and as a Footballer you can guarantee he works them both. Just look at some of the heavyweight boxers. We all know Lukaku is fast. I don't really agree with him lacking stamina. We've seen him play two full 90 minute games for Everton (?) No way you can put his second half performances down to a fitness issue. I would say it's more of Everton not playing as well. It's only two games, we can analyze him better after 15. Edited October 5, 201312 yr by JoeyN

Because your not ballanced, you haven't got anything good to say, we get you don't like the way things are but its actually not so bad but you just want to get your negative sh1t accross so badly you will throw it any where you can
October 6, 201312 yr Where did I say he's tired or lazy? f**king d**khead. You said "he seems to drop off a bit" and "it seems like a fitness issue." I consider that picking at something negative from a player that has scored 4 goals in 3 games. And next time DKW, try to come up with something better than d**khead. Clever!

There's a difference between occasionally making criticisms or constructive statements on how our players can improve, and blatantly spouting negative tripe at every single little decision made by this club that even remotely displeases you. And you don't deserve anything better than d**khead. You d**khead.
October 6, 201312 yr Seeing our young on loan striker score against the strongest side in the league pisses you off? Odd. Yep. The failing of the board has seen us sell Sturridge and sign Ba. Replacing 19 goals this year with 2. Retaining Torres, a further 2 goals. Buying Eto'o to ease the financial burden of one of Romans mates ( 2 league goals last season in RUSSIA) and fail in our public attempts to sign Rooney who has already scored more in 6 weeks of this season than Torres and Eto'o have scored in 10 months of this YEAR. compounded by letting kakkers go out on loan again, who has now scored 15 PL goals in 2013 for other teams. People say that Lukaku wouldn't have got much match time but I completely disagree. With a forward line of Sturridge, Torres and Lukaku we would be as strong as anyone upfront. If FSW had played Sturridge in his preferred position instead of sticking with his pet Torres (FSW was only bought in to get the best out off Torres, boards fault) we would have been able to keep Sturridge. So yes seeing our best strikers scoring at will for other clubs whilst watching Torres and Eto'o bumble around the pitch like lost geriatrics pisses me off. Fair play to the lad I want him to go and score 25 league goals this season but each time he scores Michael Emelano should be docked a weeks wages for incompetence.
October 6, 201312 yr We paid no transfer fee for Eto'o and he took lower money to come here instead of Inter. To ease a financial burden we could have just done nothing. And not a chance in hell the FSW gets brought in to make 1 player perform better. That's a laughable assumption to make. Edited October 6, 201312 yr by Stim
October 6, 201312 yr Hate to say it but while we are on the subject of Sturridge, Pool look like a real title contender. Some of the great moves, runs, goals him and Suarez do just seem so effortless at times. Good for Sturridge though. As he is a former player of ours, and one of my favorite players, I will always support him and hope that he has a great career, as long as it doesn't hurt us. (wishful thinking, I know)
October 6, 201312 yr I pretty much disagree with everything youve said Not really much to disagree on. It's bro science. Pretty much the excuse you get from skinny nerds saying "I don't want to lift because it will make me slow and lethargic". It's friggin ridiculous. It's all about how you train and I know for a fact that Footballers aren't going to be trained to bodybuild. While it may be an aspect in some of their work, more focus is going to be placed on cardio fitness and agility. While it may hamper your ability at much heavier weights, Lukaku is no where near that weight. He's 14 stone I believe. The heaviest player in the prem and he's fast.

Anzhi's owner decided to cut the costs of the club, Chelsea offered to take the world highest paid player off his hands and give £32 million for a player we didn't need. Let's just say I don't think Chelsea's best long term interests were at the forefront of those decisions. My opinion though FSW wasn't just bought in for that but tell me why he ostracised Sturridge, who was playing regularly under Robbie, albeit in the wrong position, persevering with Torres who hasn't been exactly prolific since 2009. Sturridge has gone on to score more league goals since January than Torres has scored in three seasons for us. Edited October 6, 201312 yr by Shotgun883

Let's just say I don't think Chelsea's best long term interests we at the forefront of those decisions. Then we could have just let Eto'o go to inter and willian to spurs. Its a ridiculous conspiracy theory to believe. Sturridge has gone on to score more league goals since January than Torres has scored in three seasons for us. Cause he's the FSW and there aren't many interims left. last line is irrelevant. Whilst sturridge scored more "league" goals torres' goals got us a european trophy. Both those theories are better aimed at teenagers than a football club. Edited October 6, 201312 yr by Stim
