Lukaku to Everton

Featured Replies

There is no way we are going into next season with just Costa and Torres.  I am really hoping this is all a bunch of bullsh*t.

BUT, if he does leave, what options do we have?

Loic Remy, Jackson Martinez, Bony, Balotelli, Cavani?

I can't think of anybody else I'd really want over Lukaku.

Only 3 ways I can see this deal coming off.

1. Lukaku signs a new contract with us and part of that agreement  gives him another season on loan at Everton.

2. We accept a crap price (as Everton cannot afford a fair one most likely) for him so he does not join a rival like Sturridge did.

3. Only option I would be remotley happy with, we get someone in exchange. Ross Barkely being the ideal but we have been linked to John Stones...

Remy looks like he is off to Liverpool. Cavani is too expensive.

Remember, Mourinho lies.

There are a lot of Everton rumours now which makes me think that something's happening. If he goes then it won't take us long to find a replacement.

I get the feeling that Romelu is only comfortable being a big fish in a small pond. To be the best, he has to beat the best and he's not going to do that if he cannot handle competition.

There were a lot of rumours we were signing Pogba and many other players, but we didnt.

It's a good thing then that the UK media is always there to report the truth.

:P

Bobby,

Sorry to remind you my prediction on Lukaku. This kid is not willing to wait for three years to get a proper chance at Chelsea. If he signs for Everton, it's Chelsea's loss, I feel.

Well that is Lukaku's problem, he isn't good enough yet and he has proven nothing at the very top level. He was recently dropped in the Belgium team by someone who is a bit younger than him. If that isn't enough to remind him that he isn't quite there yet then nothing will. If he stays with us he will get plenty of game time and he would be able to show Mourinho what he can do.

I don't know what Lukaku expects. Every top side has more than one striker pushing to be the number 1 striker, why is he not willing to fight for that ?

He says he is a Chelsea fan, if that were true then he wouldn't give up on the club without putting up a fight. It won't be our loss if he goes, it will be his loss, because his chances at winning the biggest competitions will be gone.

It seems to me, I have already read these examples on Lukaku before.

Lukaku should not be judged by what he did in Brazil. After all, Costa has done f**k all in Brazil too.

As I posted, Lukaku for whatever reason is not willing to wait, sit around and it is going to be regretted by Chelsea, I feel.

Lukaku is not being judged on what he did at the world cup, it's what he hasn't done, YET, but still thinks he should be first choice at a club the size of Chelsea that'a the issue.

I don't see any way that he will be with us next year, but hey ho.. Let him move on and win f**k all, or a few minor trophies in mickey mouse leagues, as i haven't heard of RM, Barca, Bayern, PSG or Citeh scrambling to sign him.

And as for us regretting it if he wont stay and fight for his place, i don't think so, if he doesn't have the right mentality he wont make it at ANY big club.

The 'lesser' leagues are littered with players who thought they'd made it, only to be found out when it really counts, and this lad may well fall into that catagory, imo of course.

Pete,

That's not out problem it's Lukaku's we can't expect to bend over and just give him the main striker role because he keeps throwing his dummy out. It up to him to show maturity and fight for a spot. He wants it all given to him which isn't right as he hasn't proven himself in a Chelsea shirt yet. He has to learn that things are earned, if he's not willing to accept that then he should be sold.

Lukaku undoubtedly has an attitude problem, I feel. Perhaps, it is needed for him to wake up. Despite of it, Lukaku is a good player & we will see him getting better, yearly.

Don't recall seeing anywhere say Juventus were interested in the first place. Most of the rumours have been Everton, Spurs and Liverpool havne't they?

I saw something on the Sky Sports transfer centre or ESPN transfer centre that said that Juventus would look to Lukaku if they could not secure a deal for Morata. Not sure how much weight that had but either way they have signed Morata now so it doesn't matter anymore.

He surely has to be staying if our Summer Transfer business is done? I don't see us going into the new season with Costa, Torres, Bamford that would be madness

Totally agree ... bringing Drogba back is definitely not the answer either ...

He could be staying, I personally would like to see him stay & fight for the right to be top striker.

Good news if thats the case and loaning Atsu to Everton gets a thumbs up from me.

Just wish we could get a confirmation from Jose.

I think we all would love to see him stay and fight for his place, as long as he shuts up.
