October 25, 201510 yr Are we sure the problem is Hazard not Jose's tactics and insistence on playing a RB behind him? The whole team has been poor so I wouldn't single him out, irony is stats show he is still creating the most chances in the league, and having the most touches in the opposition half.
October 25, 201510 yr Well he had a rb behind him last year, and they were probably our 2 best players.
October 26, 201510 yr We better not f**king sell him. He's another player i can see magically regaining his form as soon as mourinho is gone.
October 26, 201510 yr Think the PSG move is more likely than the Madrid one.. purely on the French speaking basis.Don't want him to go, just saying if he did.Hazards the type of player who needs other brilliant minds around him so they can all feed off each other. I think a lot of the reason he hasn't be as good as last year is that everyone else has been poor.. can't get the old 1-2s going if no ones firing.
October 26, 201510 yr PSG are not very attractive other than the money. If you are going to leave then it needs to be to a bigger and better club...PSG are not that. I think he has ambitions higher than say Di Maria.

I think he has ambitions higher than say Di Maria. I don't know, he certainly has his wife to think about and I have seen him mention her and the french capital previously. PSG certainly capable of winning the CL as well on a more personal level for him.
October 26, 201510 yr he's also not THAT young anymore. he's 25 in january. rewind to 2010 and compare what a 25 year old ronaldo was doing to what hazard is currently doing and the difference is stratospheric. hazard will never be that level, as much as we want him to. at 25 how many more opportunities does a player have for a really big, big move. 1? maybe 2? IMO if £75m is on the table from psg, as rumoured today, the club would be f**king mental to turn it down.
October 26, 201510 yr Actually (in the game against WH) I liked how he played almost everywhere upfront on the field. left-mid-right, he was making space for willian, the same way willian and costa were opening space for him. This is how he should play I suppose..like he did in Lille, just don't attach the guy to one and only position on the field... he needs that freedom ~ at least sometimes
October 26, 201510 yr Hazard last year would be between suarez and aguero for me. I disagree, Aguero was injured for about 3 months last season and still managed 26 goals. He's the best out and out player in the Premiership, followed then by Hazard and Alexis Sanchez

October 26, 201510 yr I don't agree that Sanchez is better. This season it's easy as Hazard hasn't got going but in full flow Hazard is easily a more talented player as he showed last season.

October 26, 201510 yr Sanchez is far more consistent that Hazard is. Not for me he isn't. Last season he went through large periods where he did nothing...he had another period at the start of this season., Hazard last season was the main man and kept it up all season to drag us over the line. Sanchez hasn't done that over the course of a season yet. Edited October 26, 201510 yr by Chelsbear

He was certainly one of the star performers though, I agree with that. My point wasn't even really a dig at Hazard, I just think Sanchez is superb. You have to take into consideration that last season was Sanchez's first season in the Premier League too, and he was still brilliant. Sorry mate. According to transfermarkt.com Sanchexz Club(s). Hazard is having a rough patch just like everyone else You're absolutely right, stats don't tell the whole story, especially in a discussion regarding consistency - neither does bringing up where they played their football about 7 years ago! A player could score 10 goals in 2 games and play dreadful for the next 8 games, but his stats will still say he's scored 10 in 10. That's not consistency.

Sanchez was getting slated at the start of the season for not pulling his weight and doing enough in games. The past few weeks he's improved. That doesn't prove anything, Eden was the standout player for a whole season playing a huge part in winning the league title...Sanchez didn't do that. Edited October 26, 201510 yr by Chelsbear

How has he not lol He done it over a season, is that consistent? Yes he didn't have the same impact for Arsenal that Hazard had for Chelsea, as the table showed. It's not folly, the guys who actually played against both voted that way.... At present of course Sanchez is playing at a better level but our whole team is playing rank so it's not surprising Hazard is not shining. If Sanchez takes Arsenal to the EPL title then I might change my mind but for now Hazard is the superior player.

Neither has anyone else in the team.He was the stand out player for an entire season in the EPL last season winning the double and getting to the latter stages of the CL. Just because he's had a tough start to the season does not diminish he was head and shoulders above anyone else for a year. His peers voted him the best player in the country over guys like Sanchez...I think they know what they are talking about... Edited October 26, 201510 yr by Chelsbear
October 26, 201510 yr Neither has anyone else in the team. He was the stand out player for an entire season in the EPL last season winning the double and getting to the latter stages of the CL. His peers voted him the best player in the country over guys like Sanchez...I think they know what they are talking about... this is irrelevant to other players in the team, this is a discussion based on the point i made that at present, sanchez is better and more effective than hazard. you argued consistency and stated that sanchez hasnt played consistently well for a season, which is rubbish. he was arsenal's stand out player last season in what was a fairly abject campaign for the gunners. to state that in order to be deemed a more effective, or better, player then said player's team must win the league is ridiculous. sanchez has delivered strong performances consistently over a sustained period of time, barring injury, which has now carried over into this season. hazard, on the other hand, had a very good season last year, won all the plaudits, but now finds himself ineffective to the point whereby he has been benched due to his erratic form. the point re: consistency therefore does not stand up to scrutiny. sanchez could go on and have a blinder for the remainder of the season, regardless of trophies delivered, he can still be a better player than a comparative from a trophy winning team. sorry, but your point doesnt make sense to me. as it stands, id sooner have sanchez.
