∆ Hazard. :)

To just brand players "world class" is far too simplistic for it to have any meaning. You can have a good player capable of world class performances, you can have top players in bad form or world class players who are starting to fade but are still quality when it matters.

 

For me a world class player is one of the top players in his role who performs consistently at the highest level. Not counting the freak start to this season, in the last two years Terry, Cech/Courtois, Matic, Ivan, Azpi and Hazard were all world class performers, all of them in the world's top 3-5 in their position.

I've lost a hell of a lot of respect for this guy. Is he burnt out? moping? or just not bothered anymore?

Unless there is a complete turn around I can't see him lasting the season at this rate.  He offers nothing going forward, instead of driving in the box like he did last year, he now circumvents the box and passes backwards, sideways or stops the forward momentum.  He has the talent but right now he has no confidence that he will beat a defender.  But he isn't the only one....but the only one that on his day that could be a game changer...sadly his days may be numbered.

If Hazard is still not performing, then we should give Kenedy/Traore a start. at least they'd have a go at their fullback surely?

Agreed. Though look at the media sh*tstorm when he was dropped vs Villa. I think Hazard's confidence is at rock bottom and needs to be managed carefully. He's still young, and we know how good he is on his day. But 0 goals and it's almost the end of October? Pretty shocking numbers to be brutally honest.

I've said it for a while, Hazard has the talent to be the 3rd best player in the world but he lacks the application to drive him there.

He's frustrating me at the minute. He's showing absolutely nothing going forward.

Too slow on counters. Always has been. Need to be ruthless and direct. always seems to allow defenders to get back.

Well out if sorts. Him and and pretty much everyone else.

Except Willian, Begovic, Azpi, everyone has been disappointing.

(Willian set pieces BTW, look deadly everytime. Well done to him for the improvement.)

Very disappointing this season. He was our star, won our hearts, won the best PL player trophy. Now I'm starting to lose all my respect to him, I used to call him our best player but now he's far away from this. I don't know, but I got a feeling that he wants to leave the club, PLEASE get me wrong and he will back to his form, but I think after this season he's leaving. 

Sell him for 70M odd.

No one will pay £50m for him on the back of a bad season.

When something dosen't work you would expect Mourinho to identify the problem by now. I',m waiting for Hazard to be moved in the AMC position, where he don't have to run up and down the entire pitch. He will never be a workhorse like WIllian, Pedro etc and he really isn't that fast over a long distance like Robben, Bale, Ronaldo etc. He does have an insane burst of pace , great dribbling and has one of the highest pass completion in the league though. He has performed very well playing the AMC position for Lille and Belgium.

 

I was very against selling KDB to Wolfsburg, hopefully we are not stupid enough to sell Belgiums two best players to please Mourinho.

15 games this season and he still hasn't scored a single goal. Hazard's form isn't just bad, it's shockingly poor. He's supposed to be one of the elite players of the game. All players go through bad form, even the best, but it's very rare for the best to go through such a bad run of form for this long.

 

Maybe we overrate him, maybe he doesn't have it in him to be the main player of one of the top teams.

I don't think he's one of the elite players, in fact he's fortunate if hel be in the top 10.

You're wrong about JT, he's still our best CD, yes he has no pace but he's positional awareness, organization and leadership at the back and on the pitch is invaluable also a role model for a wonderful prospect like zouma and the young defenders at youth level. However, I agree on ramires, he had a decent worldcup in 2010 and next thing he's signed. He isn't Chelsea quality imo
