Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend

Featured Replies

Ah so no one actually said he is bigger than the club then.

Cheers for clarifying that...

Christ does everything have to be so literal? Noted that there is no room for interpretation when it comes to you

If someone says the club aren't doing right by JT, there is a chance that they may think JT is bigger than the club. Is that an unfair statement to you?

There is, literally,no other way to interpret what you said though.

To come to the conclusion that people thinking that the club are not acting correctly to JT meaning the player is bigger than Chelsea is quite frankly absurd.

You are putting words into people's mouths, no one said JT is bigger than the club like you posted.

You backtracked because there was no quotes to prove it and instead have decided to interpret other posts to try to back up what you said.

It's easy to avoid tbh, just don't make things up.

Or, they might think that JT is still our best CB and it is in Chelsea's best interest to keep him for next season.

The FA don't believe in black and white

I meant the JT case where the context didn't matter, the post I quoted used the exact same logic.

Sorry I'm already drunk

Me too, mate. Among other things...

Jeez i thought this thread was about Eden, in some quantum universe i guess these latest posts are...

Welcome to TSE, my friend, the magical place down the rabbit hole where everything is possible.

Btw, what ever has happenned to the pork thread?

Well mate you can keep supporting him of course, i supported Torres since he always gave his 110% and things didn't go his way at times. Hazard is not giving his best for this team, obviously his head is not in it. Of course he will say that he wants to stay after one goal in this season and zero contribution. Who would go for him now? PSG at best and they are not an upgrade on Chelsea.

The league isn't an upgrade but the team definitely is. Knocked us out the champions league a couple of times now. Look at PSG player by player and compare them to us. Almost every position has a better player.

I'm not making anything up nor am I backtracking.

Conversation like this are built on interpreting what the other person is saying (as it is purely digital) and my interpretation is that the way people have carried on about this particular topic leads me to believe they think the player is bigger than the club.

I don't see how it's absurd at all.  If the club have to bend over to appease someone then they aren't the biggest entity.

Better team but they still can't do anything with them. I'd rather be in a top 4 team in England and play for several honors, rather than playing in Ligue 1 against teams that lose with no resistance.

Piet de Visser on what went wrong with Hazard.

"Hazard is a player that lives for the moments in a game, he is not a machine. Mourinho tried to improve him and give him more responsibility but that doesn’t work for Hazard. Eden is a player that can have fantastic moments but he will never be a machine. He needs to relax and you should never put any pressure on him that he HAS to lead the team. You should never make him captain or say that he must lead the team, you should just tell him to play his game and enjoy himself."

"Mourinho is a pure winner so he wanted to improve Eden whilst he was magnificent already. Mourinho wanted him to score more, lead the team in difficult moments and win games. That pressure was too much for him so his performances suffered, he got stressed and started to get injured more."

Another reason to make sure that he is not one of the key players. His huge contract now seems like a massive mistake.

If that's true then it shows that he will never be one of the best players in the world with such mental weakness. Very worrying.

He is clearly not a leader, think Mourinho made a mistake in trying to make one out of him.

He should have been used like Robben was at Bayern a couple of seasons back ie. not a part of the core (Neuer, Lahm, Schwinstiger, Muller) but a only a luxury player who can be moved in or out of the team as needed.

Can't believe, Mourinho thought he was a leader.

You don't ask if someone wants to be a leader.

A leader is a leader.

You see the real leaders from the first moment.

This season, Chelsea has no leader.

Mourinho has not made a mistake. He just tried to made him one of the best in the world. The best in the world plays always in a super team with a good leader. (Indeed. Robben always played in a team with top leaders. Messi, Ronald, Neymar ... too.)

I've always said this. He's a lovely lad but he's never going to be one of the world's best because he doesn't have that desire, that killer instinct.

Look at Ronaldo - works his arse off in the gym to be the best he can be.

Lampard - would stay after training and work on his finishing and becomes our greatest goalscorer.

Drogba - great striker, but decides to work on his free kicks for HOURS after training to get better.

Eden doesn't. He is one of the first off the training pitch and one of the first home because that's his character. It's not a surprise he struggled because he's simply not like that and you can't change your innate character in my opinion.

Good lad, massive natural talent but mentally lacking that something special.

(Krc, please don't bother quoting me because I'm not going to respond.)

No, ShedEnder91.

If it's ok, it's ok!

(And I still believe you are a nice man!)

Ronaldo is the best excample you can give. Indeed! That's amazing. Noone does better.

Lampard is inspiaring.

Drogba is an hero! (See his last goal on my karma thread.)

Eden. The first off the training pitch and one of the first home, I don't know. The Chelsea training is always behind closed doors, I thought. Don't know either the reason why he struggled. But I know that football is very important for him. And  that he just wants to play. He just wants to make fun. Nothing else. Give him that and you'll have an amazing player.

Don't know if we can talk about mentally things. In that case you need a specialist. Or a doctor. And I'm not. But motivate with a good positiv vision in a good positiv athmosphere can help.

Drogba, Lampard ... golden time.

I've gone off Hazard and am wondering if he was a flash in the pan.

Those days are gone, Droogba.

Also in Genk.

Team players are exceptionel nowadays.

Modern football.

It doesn't confuse me, but it feels not good.

Agree. Right, my girlies are having afternoon tea somewhere and I'm propped up ready for kick off. Catch up later KRC :)
