March 8, 201312 yr Another winger? lol. I think he can play as a striker but normally he doesn't as Lewandowski plays there, he's very quick and is pretty skillful with both feet, not very big/strong though. Probably most similar to Hazard out of players we currently have, dunno where he'd play.
March 8, 201312 yr To be honest, I can't help feeling it is just another name being linked to us for no other reason than because the papers need to write something. This week alone we have been linked with Reus, Rooney and Gomez and before you know it the Cavani and Falcao rumours will resurface.

March 8, 201312 yr He's just joined his home-town club in a big money move, Dortmund would hold out for a gigantic bid before even considering selling. If we're going to be buying a forward from Germany, Andre Schürrle is a far more realistic prospect as he'd probably cost about half as much.
March 8, 201312 yr He joined in the summer. In fact, I really don't see why anyone from Dortmund or any of the top European clubs would want to come here at the moment, we're simply a disaster right now.
March 8, 201312 yr He's an absolute quality player, i've been follwoing the bundesliga heavily this season, plays more in a position off the main striker but he's used as a pure striker when lewandowski isn't available. Would love to see him join, he's a great finisher, but given that he's just moved to Dortmund, the fact that our club is a mess and the general trend of the best german players not coming to the premiership until the twilight of their careers, i'd find it hard to believe that this will happen
March 8, 201312 yr Love to have him here. Reus, Gotze, Kroos, Schurrle, Ozil, Hummels and Neuer are future of Germany. Reus is a class player that can play centrally or wide. Chelsea still needs a player more in the mold of Schweinsteiger/Yaya Toure
March 8, 201312 yr He replaced Kagawa in that Dortmund team and has been a major improvement. One of the reasons Dortmund are doing so well in Europe this season.

The only time that Schürrle played centrally for a full season, he scored 15 goals and he did it on a team that had a fraction of the talent that Dortmund does. At any rate, both guys are at their best playing from wide positions and both have been among the best performers in the Bundesliga this year.

I know we bid for Schürrle but this is the first I've heard of any interest in Reus, who seems to have improved more than Schürrle the past two seasons.
March 10, 201312 yr Reus is a quality olayer and would be perfect. Gives us more depth on the wings, can also play centrally, not as short as our other players in that department and also a good defensive worker. He is much better than Schürrle who is massively overrated.

Marin was only bought as it seemed we weren't getting CL footie this year. When we did and bought Hazard and Oscar, Marin was left by the wayside. I think Dortmund paid 17M, so I doubt we're in for him and if we were surely Dortmund would want 25M+.
