I guess someone at CFC thinks Operation Return-liverpool-to-glory must be preceding slower than expected (despite gifting them Sturridge who is now coming into his own). So I am glad we decided to give them a player for free, just to help them along.

Seriously, this is f**king maddening. Gave them money for absolutely nothing (Benayoun) and a king's ransom for a player who was obviously busted. Is this some kind of campaign to become liked by the backward c**ts that run History FC?

I hate them. I cant even imagine the recriminations if they actually win something and this club ends up trophyless.

Oh, and lastly, if the reason is "nobody else could afford his wages" then there is still blame to be had. No way he should be making so much that a club like Newcastle, Sunderland or Villa couldnt afford to take him. That would be scandalous.

And even if they couldnt, supplement the f**king wages. Does getting a 1m pounds fee for the loan actually mean anything in the long run?

f**king desperate.  :face_palm:

Then who would be the one to go in the one comes in one goes Jose way?

Its all part of the grand plan.....Ozil to us, Mata to Utd, Rooney to Chelsea at the 11th hour......Arsenal left with nothing.

^ I take it you're not happy ?

:laugh2: I may have been in an altered state this morning, but I read some headline about this when I first woke up, and it convinced me to give up on the day...and on life in general.

In the sleep that followed the news burrowed its way into my subconscious, and I assumed it was definitely happeneing. If not maybe I can lay off my blood pressure meds and cancel that weekend yoga retreat I had planned

Hope Moses gets lots of playing time. Now we have signed Willian he is not going to play much for us.

I like him and thought he was Chelsea standard, but clearly he is surplus and better off for his sake elsewhere.

I'm not happy with this for our sake, but I feel for Moses. He's done nothing short of his job and hasn't been bad for us at all. And yet we overstock at his position and force him to go on loan? I could understand if he is none too happy with us at this moment.

I certainly do not want to see Liverpool get any stronger especially at our expense. We went through this with Yossi and Arsenal. It's certainly debatable if he improved them but why loan to a club that can compete with us for top 4? It's maddening really.

If Moses actually does go to Liverpool, which certainly looks to be the case with him in the stands yesterday, I hope he does well and helps take some points from our competition on the top 4. I also hope that it does not come to bite us in the arse later on...

Not to derail the thread, but I also certainly do NOT want to see Özil in an Arsenal kit. I wanted him back before he was even linked to Real. He also would have an immediate synergy with Podolski. Needless to say, I believe he would certainly improve Arsenal... A lot.

Main point here is not Liverpool. Main point is we found a club for Moses in where he'll get more chances and we'll get, as far as I understand, £1m and they pay his wages or most of the wages. We didn't sell him but we get him back like we did with Danny and Bolton. That benefitted us and the player. If Moses is able to get to a next level we'll be pretty damn glad he is still ours. And isn't there a paragraph in the contract that says he cannot face us in the games this season. What did we really lose here?

evissy you can't compare loaning a player to bolton, and Liverpool. As much as I think we will comfortably finish above them this year, there is also a chance we have poor season and they have a good season and we end up directly competing with them for 3rd or 4th.

How bad would it be if moses scores a cpuple of winners this year for them, and they finish top 4, or worse still, ahead of us.

Why take that chance? there a horrible club that wouldn't do us any favours.

Granted moses cant play against us, but they have already shown yesterday there capable of taking points of our rivals, without us strengthening them further.

Moses would start every game for everton, west brom, swansea, villa etc.

1. I don't think they'll compete for top 4 and

2. I don't think Moses'll make THE difference for them.

1. fair enough I doubt it as well.

2. moses will improve them but it also lets them spend more in other areas.

What did we gain from it? Whether or not Liverpool will achieve anything this season is irrelevant. We've done them a favour and let them improve their team saving about £10-15m in the process. I ask again, what was the point of loaning him rather than selling him? To keep a 7th choice attacking midfielder on the off chance that he'll turn into Messi after a year at Liverpool makes no sense at all.

My guess is after signing yet another attacking midfielder it dawned on us, days before the window closes, that we have too many players and needed to get rid of some quickly. Trouble is, everyone else knows this too. Why pay £12m for a player if you can get him on loan? It's very revealing that Liverpool felt confident enough to make a loan bid for Mata too. Poor management from us.

Just confirmed on Sky Sports that he's gone to Liverpool on a season long loan.

I really don't like the idea of us helping History FC at all. Everton, Southampton, Baggies - Yes, These gits a big no. Crap decision.

I couldn't agree more, it's very poor business from the club, either tell Liverpool to stump up the transfer fee or tell them to jog on.

I don't see any benefit from this deal for us, is Moses really going to come back next year a better player than Hazard, Willian, Schurrle, Oscar, Mata or KDB, I'd be very surprised if he did.

I think it silly busniess. If he wasnt good enough for us this season then we should have made Liverpool buy him. Loaning him is only good for them. It doesnt help us at all. So making a team that could possibly a rival better just doesnt make any sense.

If he has a good season with them his value goes up . That has to be good for us?

Yes. This. We are not going to play him so I don't care where he goes as long as it makes him a better player.

Also eliminates some of his wages off our payroll (maybe all of them but I don't have his contract handy sorry) and if rumors are true also provides us with a loan fee of around 1.5 million pounds . I understand you're concern but saying "it doesn't help us at all" is in correct . Plenty of positives in this move for Chelsea Football Club .
