I know this is a strange comment seeing as they won so convincingly. Özil was by far the worst Germany player on the pitch. Was anonymous during all the goals, wasteful in possession and non committal in defence. He must have purposely avoided 4 or 5 50/50s in the first 20 minutes alone. Lightweight and lacking drive.

I know most players struggle to adapt themselves when moving to a new team, but on the evidence above Ozil has seamslessly integrated into the Arsenal way.

I think it's tactical to use his pace when teams are tiring.

This guy is my favourite player - so happy for him. Seems like a model professional and a nice guy to boot. I hope he gets plenty of chances next season in the starting XI next season, he deserves them.

I saId before the game that Schurrle or Gotze should start over Ozil.  For whatever reason, that didn't happen and Ozil played almost the entire game, but both subs made it count at the end.  Congrats Andre!

World Cup winning assist - fantastic. I was hoping he'd try taking Zabaleta on at some point. Great boost for Andre I hope he'll deliver even more for us next season

Fantastic performance - he was full of energy and the assist was great!

Very happy for him... He had a fantastic tournament! Kid has worked so hard since joining up last season. He put in the extra effort to get more physical and I think it paid immense dividends for him this past month. Has some improvement to go but under Jose and with his eagerness to learn and work ethic, I think he will do very well for us.

Congrats Germany, best team. Commiserations Argentina for making it a battle. Enjoy your break Andre and come back next season with a few hat tricks.
