Can't really disagree much. Tempting to give 9 to everyone, but that would be harsh on three you gave 9 to, who were just about the pick of the bunch. I fully appreciate why Matic got the MoM, but Hazard was truly exceptional, and Cahill (along with JT) was magnificent.

 

One of our great team performances, without a doubt. A joy to watch, even though we made it far more nail-biting than it should have been

I think Rami deserves a 7 but his lack of conviction was annoying me towards the end!

I noticed that. He was absolutely brilliant leading the line in that respect. Is a big game player for sure.

Pretty similar to everyone elses. Cahill put in one of the best defensive performances i've ever seen though.

He was talking to Willian and Matic as they came out for the 2nd half. In games like that you cant beat experience. He also kept coming deep to contact Dimchaelis (or however you spell it) and making him have to choose who to go with. I thought that was brilliant play.

Loved watching him as he went off.  He was tapping his head and really urging everyone to concentrate and see it through.  Can't underestimate the value of that experience and leadership.

f**k me, with those ratings anyone would have thought we got the right drubbing that many pundits were predicting!!

Cech - 8 - Didn't have a lot to do until the last 20. Two brilliant saves to deny Silva and Jovetic.

Azpilicueta - 8 - Very solid at LB. Made excellent clearances and managed to deal with Jesus Navas' pace and dribbling comfortably.

Terry - 8 - Outstanding along with Cahill. What a great partnership this is turning out to be.

Cahill - 9 - Brilliant performance from him. Very unlucky not to have scored.

Ivanovic - 8 - Very good performance topped off with a stunning goal.

Luiz - 7 - Poor set pieces but great overall display. Got stuck in against Toure along with Matic. Seemed to win all of his aerial challenges.

Matic - 9 - What a debut. Marvellous battle against Toure and really stood his own. Like Cahill, very unlucky not to score what would have been a goal of the season contender.

Ramires - 7 - Great energy as usual but not very good with his chances

Willian - 9 - Kept on Toure's heels all night preventing him from being a major threat. An engine to match Ramires'. Constantly running. Never stopped.

Hazard - 9 - Bar Sunderland, his best performance this season. Skipped past the City plays with so much ease. I'm so excited to see him reach his potential.

Eto'o - 7 - Relatively quiet. Held possession well and was unlucky hitting the crossbar.

Jose - 10 - Got his tactics spot on. Complete genius.

I just think you have give Ivan equal top rating with anyone else. For me as well as scoring the goal he was very strong defensively.

 

Watched the game again and we deserved the win but Man C had their fair share of chances as well. Cracker of a game really.
