Paul Pogba - Needs to Sign!

Featured Replies

Likely not moving this window because he's off to Barcelona and theyve got a transfer ban. I'd be very shocked if he isnt playing in a Barca shirt the season after next. I don't think he'll move in January because of the world cup but its a possibility

Apparently we have contacted his agent. There's still more to this transfer. I dont think him going to Barca is 100% certain

Barca should be transfer banned regardless.

Well that means we 100% aint in for him.

Judging by his track record, sure everyone gets stuff right and wrong but he's more reliable than a lot of the journalists out there. He did break the Falcao story and pretty sure Cuadrado coming to us.

don't see the point in this transfer. is it just a case of buying a big name now because there is a lack of them available this summer?

If we are interested in signing a top class central midfielder, who else is there to go after?

Although the rumoured fee of £60m is a lot, when you consider that's what United paid for a 27 year old Di Maria who will have little resale value paying similar for a 22 year old, who is already very good but has the potential to get even better. It's going to be good business for whoever he signs for.

So apparently Juve's priority signing this summer is Oscar. Plus they are interested in Cuadrado too. I think these two transfers could give us somewhat an advantage signing Pogba. Especially of Oscar.

We would need to replace Oscar though, can't see us selling him this season.

Cash plus Cuadrado would be a nice scenario.

I don't think pogba will get any better tbh. I don't see anything that special about him and wouldn't want to risk losing oscar for him. If he comes and proves me wrong, so be it, but all he is is hype at the moment. We got players like RLC and Baker who show promise and they're still in their late teens and can improve given the chance.

In what way exactly is he just hype at this point?

He's been a key figure to the Juventus midfield that has won three league titles on the trot.

He's just been in a side that made it to a European Cup final.

He's got over 20 senior caps for France already.

He's clearly a very talented player, what makes you think that at 22 he won't get any better? Look at the progress Hazard has made in the last two years as an example.

The odds of RLC and Baker reaching the levels that Pogba is already at are extremely slim, that's not me being defeatist but the reality of how few players reach the top levels of performance.

Pogba is still pretty young, playing more football in a team filled with guys like Pirlo is more than likely going to improve you as a footballer.

I'd wager he will be one of the top midfielder in the world during the next decade.

Agreed, pogbas build plus ability is a no brainer, def going to be a worldie

He would definetly add to our team which is not easy because we are a strong side. If we want to add to the quality I much rather see us breaking bank for Pogba instead of Sterling. His pricetag is bloated but he is so much more than Ramires or Mikel can offer alongside Matic. Cesc needs to take the number 10 position.

lol

So Pogba is going to play for NYFC if he has to play with pirlo to make him better ??

What?

Playing alongside players like Pirlo has made him a better player and he will continue to get better with that expierence.

We can't afford to give up 2 players for 1. Our squad isn't that big as it is.
