In fact it's the opposite with a few places saying we're going to go all out to try and secure deals for Pogba and Stones by the end of the window. 

 

Could be the UK press just wants something to write about seeing as United, Arsenal and Liverpool are being very quiet transfer activity wise or it might be the Italian press being defensive of the Old Lady.

i cant help but feel all this paper talk is just that. it worries me that the only publications who are going with it seem to be the daily star, the express etc... and we know their scatter gun approach. if the times or the guardian were really getting on top of it then i'd feel a lot more optimistic. 

 

if anyone has any links to credible journalists (now there is a f**king oxymoron) then i would be interested to read what they have to say.
