Diego Costa to Chelsea

Featured Replies

I will place a wager on that with you Peter. If we do sign Costa, I bet you he won't score more than 15 goals all season.

(Although 15 would still be an improvement on Torres).

I would gladly take this bet. Loser donates a tenner to the forum?

deal

Anyone else want to get in on this bet?

I've already got an existing bet with Barak that Costa will score more league goals (excluding penalties) in his first season than Torres has in his entire Chelsea career (19).

"John Terry has given his verdict on new signing Diego Costa, and believes the striker will be a hit at Stamford Bridge.

Costa completed his move from Atletico Madrid on Tuesday to provide another attacking element to Jose Mourinho’s squad, having helped steer the Spaniards to their first La Liga title since 1996, as well as scoring a crucial penalty against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last season on the way to the Champions League final.

That contest allowed Terry to experience what it’s like facing the Brazilian-born Spaniard in person, and he was left in no doubt about the striker.

‘First of all, his movement and his strength are really good – I was really surprised by it,’ said Terry, who is now in his 20th season with Chelsea. ‘I think everyone remembers the square-up we had in the first 10 minutes of the first leg of our semi-final game against Atletico Madrid last season, after which I thought, “Fair play”.

‘He holds the ball up very well, he has got great movement and he is really physical, but he is very clever with his strength and the way he uses his body. I think he could be a very good signing for us.’"

Man I love JT. That quote "fair play"

Yeah

Tbh I don't think he would ever take a moment like that on the pitch and be like I don't want to play with that player, remember he had a bust up with Ballack. I think its probably something he admires in a player.

Has a face only a mother could love.

Probably our ugliest player since Zola.

Mind you, Benayoun and Wise take some beating too.

I relish the idea of having a striker who is a total bruiser in our side.

There are a few PL players I'd love to see him headbutt.

Rio Ferdinand deserves a butting

"Stevie G" deserves 20 butts rapid to the chin / nose / forehead, in no particular order

Wayne Rooney on the butting list

RVP to be butted

Jack Wilshere for a butting

"oh santi cazorla" due a butting

Theo Walcott to receive fatal butting

Giroud to be recipient of butting to death

Andy Carroll on the f**kin butted list

Alan Pardew in the ultimate headbutt-off
