Perhaps a very good Blue will have a very large picture of this to tke to the Bridge and to Anfield this coming season.....lol

The more and more I see and think of this club the more I detest them! poor old victims!!!!!  Filthy club, with filthy little fans whether they originate from Beiruit (sorry merseyside) or they are the twonks all of us see round the south in full replica kits, still w**king over the day they maybe able to go to Anns field for the first time even though they are 40 year old men, who only supported them due to dippers always being on the tv in 70's and 80's!!!  as for them blowing the league last year I've heard it was the south yorkshire polices fault!!!!!

Amazing to hear the Gerrard song being sung at a few games last week.

Sung across all grounds this year, but hey, they are the fans favourite second team or so we are to believe. Bollocks

you have great chance of sunday . got likes of oscar, sahah and co who can do really damage to liverpool and are fresh from not playing tonight.

rodgers liverpool hate playing you. got overpowered by you in december and in game at a nfield last season till their last second goal to make it 2-2. your midfield far more powerful then theirs and with added pace. think liverpool in deep trouble if you score first as they have to go forward and with their poor defence can see you counter attacking them to win 2-0

I think all pressure on them and with their awful defence vs your powerful midfield think you should win on sunday

even if mourinho roates you have two stronger midfields then theirs. don,t forget they have no henderson and maybe no strurridge to.

great chance to help city out on sunday for you .

He might be banned, but that was spot on.

Watching this back now, must say Martin Tyler was a disgrace on commentary I'd forgotten how bad he was. Clearly gutted whenever Liverpool's chances aren't taken.

Makes it even sweeter!

Haven't watched this game since it aired so maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but the number of times he yelled GERRAAAARD as Slippy took one desperate potshot after another in the 2nd half was hilarious. It started out irritating, but the way he transitioned from the hopeful and expectant "GERRAAARD"'s at the beginning of the 2nd half to a "GERRR....misses" after the 5th or 6th shot from outisde the box, and finally to a somber, deflated "Gerrard...high and wide" towards the end of the game, was hilarious. The miscontrol and slip was awful and clearly an iconic moment, but people don't make enough of Gerrard selfishly going into hero mode in the 2nd half to save his own face. This is all wonderfully soundtracked by a desperate Martin Tyler almost willing Gerrard into it.

Anyway, I can't stand Tyler, not because I think he's biased, but because he's a whore for narrative. The guy can never seem to get genuinely excited unless the "story" of the game plays out as the imaginary "neutral" (which I'm sure he thinks he is) wants it to.

That Sky advert where he screams "Aguerrooooo" makes me feel sick....And I'm pretty sure it was him who screamed (when Crespo scored a late goal for us)

"OH NO !...." He then muttered  "....for Wigan, oh yes for Chelsea"

He couldn't hide his dismay at our late winner, and it was funny.

I know I think Gerrard actually cost Liverpool a proper chance to get something from the game cause he was so desperate to atone for his error. I still love the moment when Scwarzer saves from Suarez watch the crowd they think he's gonna score.

Yeh I think that's probably true about Tyler.

I've said it before in the thread, but I was running a tough mudder this day so couldn't watch it. Even though I could barely walk I was jumping around like a lunatic when I got home and watched it - it was a totally different experience watching it already knowing we'd done 'em! Bloody brilliant considering we only had half a team out. It's games like that remind me how lucky I am to be a Chelsea fan.

I used to like Tyler when I was a kid watching football - but I'm so aware of his ridiculous bias towards the 'story', clear bitterness towards some team and the adoration he uses describes the action in favour of other teams - it's just really frustrating to hear.

One of the greatest matches ever!

We knock off Liverpool and destroy their title hopes and this is the moment Gerrard was officially heartbroken and haunted forever! I don't think he'll truly get over this match.
