Ramires - anyone else frustrated?

Featured Replies

He's a f*cking amazing player. What a "back up" to have. Certainly not a ball player but drags players out of position on the counter and runs all day.

Amazing player? lol

Apart from his well taken goal he didn't do anything particularly well.

I just read that Ramires was taken to the hospital. Damn that was swept under the rug. I am reading that it could be kidney stones. I had stones before & it put me on my ass. I think only fluids & rest can help w/ that.

I just read kidney problem, even a kidney infection can be excruciating. Hope he gets well soon.

I had a kidney infection a month or so ago, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy, bloody horrible.

What causes it?

Doc told me it a urinary tract thing, can be from having sex with someone who has cystitis or something, or even something as daft a using the same towel as someone who has it. Not very common in men, you have to be very unlucky to get it.

Wow that's crazy, sorry you had to go through it

Its dreadful, like having flu while someone hits you in the back constantly with a crowbar.

What causes it?

a lack of proper hydration - also eating foods that lack moisture - that is what happened to me - I was training with the National Guard, walking along in the wild, then Bam!!!! I went straight to my knees - if felt someone was poking me w/ a knife

Taken from the NHS website.

  • having a condition that blocks, or obstructs, your urinary tract, such as kidney stones or an enlarged prostate – children withconstipation can also be at an increased risk
  • being born with an abnormality in your urinary tract
  • having a condition that prevents you emptying your bladder fully, such as an injury to your spinal cord – this can allow bacteria in your bladder to multiply and spread
  • having a weakened immune system – for example, due to type 2 diabetes or as a side effect of chemotherapy
  • having an infection of the prostate gland called prostatitis – the infection can spread from the prostate gland into the kidneys
  • being female and sexually active – sexual intercourse can irritate the urethra and allow bacteria to travel into your bladder
  •
  • being a man who has anal sex – bacteria can travel up the urethra into the bladder

Hello guys! As you saw, I was very sick yesterday minutes before the match because of a renal complication, but I'm well and home with my family. Thank God it was nothing serious and I will be fully recovered in a few weeks. Thank you to all that sent me messages and were with me. I would like to thank the Chelsea's medical team for the exceptional job. I was sad not to be part of the party on the pitch, but very pleased with the title, the only English title I had left to concur. Congratulations Chelsea!

I once had a kidney infection and when I was shown the scan it was quite clear which kidney.

Before i had my kidney stone the only stuff i would drink was a Coke a day and 1 cup of tea, i was addicted to Coke in my late teens and early twenties. Since then i have changed what i drink. I make sure i drink a glass of water every day and night now, i don't really want to go through that pain again.

those ways to get stones that BD put up there makes sense too - I wasn't drinking water or very little due to training - also I was sweating a lot - then add the fact I was eating MREs (grunt food), I know I wasn't getting the proper hydration - then to top it all off, I wasn't relieving myself properly - I was in a leadership position & I had make sure I had accountability & discipline in my men - in the end I paid dearly for my failures
