August 3, 201510 yr Alas, he is exactly the type of player that Mourinho loves - "my ramires" He is a great player to have in Mourinho's system where it's all about trying to make the other team make mistakes - he has the ability to press and quickly join the attack. However if you ever want to actually dominate a game and play good football Ramires will let you down. I can see Ramires staying for a few years unfortunately. In my mind we should of gone out this summer and bought a player who could give us what Mikel and Ramires give us combined. A Witsel or a Schneiderlin. As it is, if we lose Matic or Fabregas the drop in quality is immense.
August 3, 201510 yr Ramires is loved by José so he won't be going anywhere. There were a few pony performances out there yesterday, Remi was offside too often, Hazard and Fabregas anonymous, I hope for the sake of the team he doesn't become a target for the boo boys
August 3, 201510 yr I like Ramires, he actually gives us something that we don't have a lot of at Chelsea - pace. He brings something different to the team, unlike a lot of players.
August 4, 201510 yr There is a reason Ramires is valued at £17.5m on Transfermarkt and £24m on FM this 'thing' (I am imagining a thin Brazilian fantastic 4 member that just runs all day) he clearly has qualities, yes he is not be the best passer in the world and yes I know Transfermarkt and FM are just guesstimates of value which isn't necessarily the best yard stick of quality. But despite this Transfermarkt usually massively undervalues players so that would suggest to me that the world considers him a very good and very pricey midfielder and considering his value is on par with the likes of Marchisio, Naingollan, Perez and Matuidi one of the better midfielders in Europe admittedly I would probably prefer all of those options ahead of Ramires but would they really drop down from 1st team starter to squad player unlikely and I wouldn't put any of those in ahead of Oscar or 'thing 2' who is going to be a big factor in this years fab 4 (Costa, Hazard, Oscar and Willian) who will lead us to more glory IMO.
August 4, 201510 yr Ramires offers our midfield something that no one else in the squad is capable of. Admittedly the inconsistency in his passing is somewhat frustrating but he's a valuable squad member.
August 5, 201510 yr Mourinho can react however he likes. he is to blame! His love for brainless footballers is going to cost chelsea. I dont understand his fascination with Ramires. I dont get it! Ramires is such a horrible and brainless footballer, that Ramires has to have a naked video of Mourinho. Thats the only explanation. Wow...I guess you must have come directly from the club Facebook page, I see some unbelievable cr*p on that page, dozens and dozens of angry foreign supporters with nothing good to say usually. Either that, or you're a troll, now I see he was removed, you can see why. Edited August 5, 201510 yr by Floyd25
September 4, 201510 yr Ramires even lost his place in Brazil's squad. I think this season is the last season for him.
September 4, 201510 yr Ramires simply doesnt have any place in the 4-2-3-1 system but I would still not mind him playing in a 4-3-3 to cover on the right
September 4, 201510 yr Ramires even lost his place in Brazil's squad. Withdraw from the latest squad because of injury. http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2015/8/28/9222687/chelseas-oscar-and-ramires-cut-from-brazils-national-team-call-up
September 4, 201510 yr I'd like to see Ramires get a run at right-back He can't be any worse than Ivanovic is at the moment
September 4, 201510 yr no actually ramires is so fast ramires is so slow ramires is so fast Is some on a wind up
September 4, 201510 yr I'd like to see Ramires get a run at right-back He can't be any worse than Ivanovic is at the moment If I'm not wrong he played there against Barcelona in 2012.
September 4, 201510 yr What's with all the Liverpool fans migrating on to here? Ramirez has his qualities he offers legs, athleticism and workrate in midfield. Which is if I'm not wrong all that Fabregas is being criticised for. His passing is erratic but I've never questioned his desire. And he scored a lobbed worldy against Barca at a time we were starting to lose hope so that puts him in my good books for life.
September 4, 201510 yr ramiereses is crap. he never scored 30 goals in one season never mind in his career Ramiereses sounds like a mythical creature
September 4, 201510 yr Has a midfielder ever scored 30 goals in one season in the Premier League?Lampard 09/10Edit: he had to settle for 27 in 51 games! Edited September 4, 201510 yr by big blue

September 4, 201510 yr Ramiereses sounds like a mythical creature King of Egypt wasn't he? He was a centre back so no wonder he didn't score many goals. tutankhamun though, great striker, incredible in the air
September 4, 201510 yr King of Egypt wasn't he? He was a centre back so no wonder he didn't score many goals. tutankhamun though, great striker, incredible in the air What? He was never tall enough for the PL. Just another youth player never making it...
September 5, 201510 yr Ramiereses sounds like a mythical creature Could swear it's a ride at Alton Towers
September 26, 201510 yr Might be knee-jerk, but at the minute RLC and Ramires should start ahead of Fab and Matic. He was well up for it today, as he was last Wednesday.
September 26, 201510 yr Ramires gave us something we haven't seen from him since the game against Barcelona in 2012. His heart, drive and quality returned today. With his performance against Walsall and now Newcastle, i think he seriously has to be considered to start for us ahead of Fabregas. I never thought i would be saying that this season.
September 26, 201510 yr Where the hell did that goal come from? the guy can't even pass a football sometimes.
