Our players on loan

Featured Replies

I do like him but not convinced that he'll play much in the first team. I just don't see a place for him. Maybe the club feel is some more potential and trying to add to his re-sale value.

Perhaps he won't start often, but he'd be a useful player to bring on as a sub to accommodate the 4-3-2-1 (i.e. Mikel/Matic/Romeu). Last season Mourinho used 4-3-2-1 on a few occasions when a goal or two ahead (often using David Luiz/Matic/Mikel).

Perhaps the logic behind his contract extension is simply to prevent him leaving on a free, but it wouldn't suprise me if he's involved in some capacity this season.

From Sky Sports transfer talk

"Chelsea look set to loan out new signing Mario Pasalic to La Liga outfit Elche for the 2014/15 campaign. The 19-year-old Croatia Under-21 midfielder moved to Stamford Bridge from Hajduk Split earlier this month."

Pasalic to Elche yes, he spoke in his interview saying Mourinho expects him to have a future at Chelsea and that he will watch all his games. I suspect Jose will but he can't really say anything else to a young player going out on loan to a new country.

Omeruo to Boro, and I suspect Bamford could be joining him, Karanka recently said he expects a striker from Chelsea. Would have preferred Bamford get a premiership loan but may be there has been no suitors, would have see him play than have a Josh/Swansea situation.

Eurosport has a piece of our loanees. We have 26 players currently on loan which is some kind of a record.

A lot of talk on how the loan deals can ruin a player. How is that? Which is better: a Mceachran playing for our youth team or a Mceachran playing in a competitive league?

The current Chelsea loan system is admired by many & copied by other orders. Over the years, Chelsea led all others in their innovative solutions. Success breeds envy as well as admiration.

So it looks like the FA are going to make some rule changes to massiavely reduce the number of players we can loan out.

Typical FA to be honest. If we didn't have any players on loan they'd change the rules so that we'd have to.
