As I said I like Khedira and think he's underrated on here, but we don't really have room for him now.  I wanted him a lot more before we had signed Matic.  He'd really improve Arsenal though.  If they signed him and a good striker they'd be in great shape.

Can only see him going to Arsenal.

We don't have room for him.

No way are Madrid going to let such a high profile player leave for peanuts.

You never know with that club.  It's a circus obsessed with the next big thing.  They sold a 25 year old Robben for 22m and Sneijder for 15m.  They sold us Makelele for 16m.  At least they got some good money for Ozil, and seem to be holding out for a big fee for Di Maria.  I can see them parting with Khedira for cheap though.

Surely FFP has to play a small part, even for Real Madrid. Barca sold Fabregas and Sanchez this summer to help balance their books with the Suarez purchase.

You would have thought Madrid would be thinking the same after dropping over 80m on two players.

He has one year left on his contract. They either sell him this summer or risk him leaving next year for free.

Kroos had a year on his contract didn't he?

He went for £23m.

I'm not disputing that Kheidra is available on reduced terms but he's still under contract and a player of his calibre is still worth a respectable fee.

I'll probably be alone on this but I would take Alex Song over Khedira. He would be cheaper and on less wages, but the biggest thing is that he's home grown just like Fabregas.

Hes also not very good, I would rather keep Mikel.

As a defensive midfielder, I would agree. Still better than Mikel, but has the same weaknesses. I was comparing him more with Khedira though as an all round midfielder next to Matic, the way he played in his last season at Arsenal.

Balotelli and Khedria for a combined 24 million with the sale of Torres, Mikel and Cech would have made perfect sense to me and our squad would ensure no more transfers in at least the two windows.

Liverpool seems to be dallying aroung yet another player, would be so funny if we bought him just to see the entire city of Liverpool explode with indignant rage.

Id be happy with that series of transfers. Finalise the uncertainty around Cech, Balo and Khediera are both upgrades to Torres and Mikel. I dont think we'd worry about Marios wayward ways as he wouldnt be relied upon, Costa would be obvious first choice but he would offer alot, get alot of game time and he has the potential under the right tuleage to be right up there.

It wont happen in a million years unless we can persude someone to take Mikel and Torres... which we wont.

The German World Cup winner Sami Khedira has revealed he will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea all reportedly interested in his signature.

The 27-year-old has spent five years at the Bernabéu, winning La Liga, the Champions League, the Uefa Super Cup and the Fifa Club World Cup, as well as the Copa del Rey on two occasions.

As well as interest from the Premier League, the Bundesliga clubs Schalke and Bayern Munich are also reportedly in the hunt but while Khedira has confirmed his intention to move when his contract expires on 30 June, the midfielder admitted he does not yet have a preferred destination.

“It’s not a decision against Real Madrid. I want to start a new stage in my career and continue to grow,” he told Kicker magazine. “There’s no agreement with anyone nor do I have a preference to go anywhere at the moment. I’ve had a magnificent time in a magnificent team. I’ll do everything I can to keep helping the team in the coming weeks.”

Khedira has made only 17 appearances for Real this season with injuries playing their part while Carlo Ancelotti has preferred to play Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in his midfield. The January arrival of Lucas Silva has also knocked the German further down the pecking order.

Much like Falcao and Hulk, the annual "Khedira to Chelsea" rumour is back... This time it's for a free transfer!
