Citeh made hard work of beating villa side we beat with ease last week...still these kind of wins keep teams in contention and give players belief...hopefully we can restore five point gap tomorrow

We were at home though

Villa made that very difficult for us today. They really frustrated us and closed everything down very well. Silva is just an extraordinary player though. There isn't anything close to him in the league imo. Yaya took his goal brilliantly but he was off the pace again for most of the game. I think his problem has been Pellegrini playing him so deep to partner Fernandinho which negates what Yaya does best. Fernado will be a key player for us this season, giving Yaya the freedom he needs to push on. Sergio will score 30+ goals this season easily if we can just keep him fit.

Overall, not perfect but a very good, hard fought win against a very well drilled and determined Villa side... Over to you lads now, I think you have way too much for Arsenal. I predict a 1-2 and I'd be more than happy if they can hold you to a goalless draw.

I predicted as much, also said he would be signing of the season but Sigurdsson seems determined to ruin that prediction.

Signing of the season????????? Do you support Chelsea mate? What about Costa or Fabregas? I'm a City fan but Fernando has had two half decent performances so far, Milner has been a revelation to me.

Hazard is better than Silva.

Pardew is hanging on by a thread after today's comeback draw @ Swansea. If every match is going to be like this for the barcodes, they might as well sack him now. It's a shame cause I think he is a good fit for barcodes. It's just their fans have this crazy expectation of that club. What more do they think they are going to get?

After Newcastle finished 5th in the league in 2012 they gave Pardew an 8 year contract (ridiculous decision)

what that now means is that if Mike Ashley sacks Pardew he has to pay him 5 odd Million

Silva is a very creative player but he is an absolute cabbage in front of goal.

When Mata was here he was better than Silva was at City, he would create goals and score them, the heart and soul of the attack. Besides his season under Mourinho of course.

We haven't seen the best of Hazard yet this season, we might not have seen the best of Silva but I know who I'll put my money on to stand out more this season.

Both are world class players, Please let's not have this debate Lol It's like arguing whether a 8.5/10 blonde chick is hotter than a 8.5 brunette chick.

Which isn't true if there are players like Hazard in our league

edit: there are at least 10 players who are good as Silva in the league. Aguero is one.

Yaya Toure (although he has been poor in recent matches) is also as good as Silva if not better

Exactly, Di Maria could also be thrown into the debate and some Arsenal fans might say Ozil on his day is also up there with Silva and Hazard.

And Liverpool supporters could also unsuccessfully argue that Gerrard and Lallana fall into the same bracket

Apparently Pardew owes a Casino that Ashley has shares in a considerable amount of money & the long contract has that debt structured into it, if Pardew was sacked I believe he walks away with £1m but he will still owe the gambling debt.

You can't compare Hazard and Silva. They are different sorts of players.

Hazard marauds the wings and run at players with pace. Silva beats players with a flick of the ball but his pace does not take him away.

Hazard can do things that Silva cannot and vice versa. On their day they can both take your breath away.

I'd put both Silva and Aguero in the top 10 best ever premier league players.

where did you here this?

This is the conspiracy theory  of all conspiracy theories

Man if this is true. Like the saying goes. ..gambling is the root of all evil [emoji33]

Pretty much the rumour I've heard, parses us basically working for free to pay his debts off that Ashley bought.

Jeezz, how much can a person gamble away?! Talk about nuts in a cracker...
