November 30, 201411 yr we cannot loose any games over the next few weeks, this is such an important month, esp with this shwr of sh1te of a weekend.
November 30, 201411 yr We will defintely drop more points against the minnows again this season, if yesterday was anything to go by. We still look clueless when a team parks 10 men behind the ball. Hopefully City will drop more points though.
November 30, 201411 yr They have very winnable fixtures and on the up in terms of results. If we don't win against Tottenham the gap could be the difference of one game.
November 30, 201411 yr dont beleive this at all, ofc someone with loads of money was going to pick him up and hes clearly still in brilliant shape and is clearly in good form. he will hold that team together, it stinks from us. we could of used him yesterday to name but one game ffs! the people saying get a grip clearly have no clue because its players like lamps that can change a teams season. We had to get ours wage bill down, we had to move players on i.e. Lampard and Cole, he's scored some important goals for them yes but as I said we had no clue he would even join City. We can't keep everyone just because they might cause us problems. I think you're the one whose clueless as to how football actually works, finances have become an even bigger part of it.
November 30, 201411 yr Whens d let him go we had no clue he was gonna join City, can't keep an ageing player that wasn't first choice just because he might have joined another PL side who happen to be our rivals. The loan been extended is looking more & more likely though and that shouldn't really be allowed in my opinion. He signed for New York so he should be joining up with them. Yeah we did. Don't Man City basically own NYCFC or something? A Man City fan was posting on here about March/April when there were rumours of Frank going to NYCFC, saying that if Man City wanted him, they'd get him. No one believed him but he was right.
November 30, 201411 yr be interesting to see if sunderland park the bus against city, bet they fkin wont, bandits Edited November 30, 201411 yr by Bigthrobberus
November 30, 201411 yr I like how the media and so called "experts" of football talk about us going unbeaten, how city are in a crisis etc, etc, then a poor result from us and a good result from city, all of a sudden the tables turn. The british football media are so fickle, and they are the ones constantly rambling on about how tough the premier league is, so they should know better than to hype and condemn teams.
November 30, 201411 yr City looked good today. Not worried though, as I think we are stronger. To be honest i thought they looked average. Southampton made them look better with their terrible performance, they were too slow and nervous. City were nothing special.

November 30, 201411 yr Well no surprises there. It sucks Lampard scores these big goals for City. But everytime I see him score it takes me back. And I can't help but smile a little. Lamps will always be my number 1 favourite player.
November 30, 201411 yr did united sell giggs? we have been amazing in the market, but letting frank go is now doing us damage. Edited November 30, 201411 yr by Bigthrobberus
November 30, 201411 yr Always makes me laugh that Lampard never mentions 'catching Chelsea' just always says, we need to keep winning. Speaks volumes.

A Man City fan was posting on here about March/April when there were rumours of Frank going to NYCFC, saying that if Man City wanted him, they'd get him. No one believed him but he was right. It wasn't official he was going there until after he'd left, he'd been linked with various moves. Plus don't forget there were rumblings of him going to Sydney until it turned out there were loan rules.

Fair enough if you think that but I still think it was the right call, wage bill was a big problem at the club and we turned a profit this year don't forget. It was just time for Frank to leave.

I think you have a point there. I would never have let Lampard go if it meant our rivals would be going in for him. And you are right about the financial side, i don't see how we couldn't afford him if City can, we are better financially than they are. You just don't let you rivals take your legends off you. Hopefully we don't see it with Cech as well, if he goes to Arsenal i will be really pissed off. You don't see this with other clubs legends.

Mourinho lacks sentiment, he sees it as business which is fair enough. Don't blame him for letting Frank go, just a shame he's scoring for City. Really quickly, didn't we offer Lamps a contract on 50k a week? Was that just a rumour?

Really quickly, didn't we offer Lamps a contract on 50k a week? Was that just a rumour? Not sure. There seems to be 2 sides to the story. There was one side saying we offered him a new deal and then there was Lamps saying if he was offered a new deal he would have signed it. I don't know who's telling the truth to be honest.
November 30, 201411 yr I think we should've kept Lampard anyways because I feel we need backup in that area -- Lamps would've definitely been adequate. That or just got Tiago on a free instead.
November 30, 201411 yr its no ones fault per say its just i could see this coming before he even went to man city well new york so why didnt the big men? its not rocket science! we must move on i know but its looking arsenal esk atm! a points a point but we should have also beat city and utd. too many points sitting pretty and we will get shot down Edited November 30, 201411 yr by Bigthrobberus
November 30, 201411 yr Many of us did not take Southampton as title challengers seriously, and here be the reason why. Disappointing but it just was not our weekend.
November 30, 201411 yr So City won...I'm a bit meh...media will hype about the fact they've cut the gap, but the gap is six points! We can afford to drop the odd point at the moment, City can't...we aren't going to win every game this season, poor performances like last night will happen...thing is I can see city dropping points regularly too
