I turned on sky sports news yesterday morning with a cup of tea in hand, Now in a normal world you would expect the debates, headlines and talking points to be revolved around the team top of the league, on a 4 game winning streak, playing caviar football with an aggressive English style forward who just scored a hat trick against a previously unbeaten and very well drilled Swansea side BUT NO, Not in this country.

 

Guess what stories dominated sky sports news and was the topic on talk sport drive with Adrian Durham?? The team who won it's first game having beaten a championship side 4-0, That's the English media for you right there. Footballing performances are irrelevant to them, They want to focus on teams who are in chaos, going through transitions and or have a bit of a buzz surrounding the club.

The media have been awful this past few days in 'the reds return to Europe'. Even my local bbc news in N Ire, had a piece on 'The reds return'. WTF. It will all only get worst when they win tonight. Pity they hadn't got RM first match.

They love them reds. I can't remember who but some pundit saw Liverpool going deep into the tournament backed by 'the spirit of the kop'....nice flowery words but I don't think it really equates to reality.

Yeah ref done well. Game being played at a very fast pace resulting in a lot of misplaced passes from both team. All very scrappy at the moment.

You would be forgiven if you turned on the Arsenal - Dortmund game and thought that a red card had been given to Arsenal. I assure you though, Ozil is indeed on the pitch he just is doing his best impression of a blade of grass.

Honestly Arsenal with referee decisions lately, they should have had a goal disallowed against City which wasn't, a penalty against them in that game to, they where lucky against Bestikas and that is the most blatant hand ball I've ever seen.
