You can't be serious. This game should not be indicative of any sort of ability for any of the Arsenal players. This would be like Chelsea signing me based on me scoring a hat trick on 8 year olds. The gulf in class between the sides is astronomical.

What happened wasn't a fluke, Roma are a good team and know how to raise their game in Europe. City stuttering in the Champions League isn't unusual in the slightest, they have been poor since they got into it 3 years ago.

Harsh, they missed out on advancing by 1 point in their first season in the CL after losing a game to Napoli that they should really have won. Second season was a disaster and their third season they got the the next round and lost to a very good Barcelona team.

Mario on his day is one of the best strikers in the world and yet Liverpool have zero idea how to use him. He looks lost and disinterested because too many teammates are crap and don't provide him with quality. Gerrard is beyond overrated he's a mid table player living off his reputation from one good season back in 2009. He's never been consistent and could never hold a candle to the likes of Yaya, scholes, Lampard etc. Mario made a mistake by wasting his time with these losers he'd have been better off staying in Italy.

As you say, early days and all but it's not surprised me one bit that Balotelli has done nothing while Welbeck is putting in good performances (even though he should be scoring more).

Not buying that. Liverpool have better players to provide for him than Milan (their whole midfield was in terrible form last season). The only difference I see is that he doesn't get to take set pieces which inflate his goal stats. He got something like 6/7 goals from open play last season with Milan, hardly setting the world on fire.

I think you're being very very generous to the dippers there. I'd say Milan's midfield was better.

I think this just shows how bad Gala actually are, since they have the extra man and still can't defend and still can't find a way through.
