No chance the refs could see that, he was surrounded by two defenders. If they had made a big deal out of it before he scored the linesman would have probably considered it.

From The FA Law 13

"Free kick taken by the goalkeeper

"If, after the ball is in play, the goalkeeper touches the ball again (except with his hands), before it has touched another player:

an indirect free kick is awarded to the opposing team, to be taken from the place where the infringement occurred."

Well there you go then, the refs in this country don't even know the rules of the game.

No I guess not, but I wonder if it was a Chelsea goal you would be saying the same thing.

All this talk about the terrible refereeing, people forgot to mention how ugly the City jerseys are. Who was the guy at Nike who convinced United and City to have the same kit in different colors?!

I like their away kit (the dark blue gradient)

Austin should be in the England team, not Lambert. And Fraser Forster should now be England's no 1 goalie. I don't know what Hodgson is watching but it cerainly isn't football.

The History Channel?

What happens when refs have games like this? I.e. we've got the same group of refs no matter how bad they are. The worst that seems to happen to refs is being dropped from PL games for a weekend.
