Cambridge deserved that result - I thought the keeper did especially well. The underdog might not have won but there will be lots of "romance of the Cup" stuff in the papers tomorrow. Great stuff.

If van gaal doesn't get absolutely roasted for this then I despair. Genius my f**king arse

Well, it takes a genuis of sorts to take a team worth hundreds of millions to Cambridge and go through the motions.

Falcao looked like he was thinking 'where am i, and why?'.

Damn. Wish I'd watched it now. But of course if I had watched it, Man Utd would have won. Then I'd have not wanted to watch it.

it wasn't pretty, apart from being pretty dull for the most part but it's always amusing to see the big boys frustrated like that (unless it's Chelsea!).

The magic of the cup lives on. Deserved draw for Cambridge though I would have liked to see them fling the ball in , in the final 30 secs and see what happens if I was being picky.

Yeah throwing it into the corner was disappointing, should have belted it in for one last hurrah

United obviously want this cup run to last as long as it can considering it's the only one they got.

Why the f**k was Phil Jones taking corners and free kicks.

Good point. That was very hard to comprehend.

The game seemed to me to come down to Cambridge being a lot more up for it than Man Utd. There was no fight in Utd.

I agree with the posters who've said that Van Gaal needs to be called on the form of Utd.

I kid you not. This is from BT Sport

"The Reds' quest for cup glory in Steven Gerrard's final season comes up against Championship club Bolton."

What I'd give for Neil Lennon to mastermind a victory - and that's saying a lot for me because I'm not exactly Neil Lennon's number one fan

Cos LVG is a tactical genius. Simple.

I once heard he subbed a keeper on in a penalty shoot out.

Is this true? What a genius if so.

Seriously, how is Van Gaal doing so badly there after spending so much?

Maybe I'm looking at it too simplistically, but he has managed and won trophies with 3 big clubs in Ajax, Bayern and Barcelona. Surely you don't do that unless you're a very good manager.

I was expecting him to do much better at United, especially with the players they have. Still, I'm not complaining haha.

He did it a century ago though

I guess five years is a century in football terms since it was in 2010 Bayern were at the UCL final but LvG was always a good eye for talent but I ever stubborn manager. His tactics seem to rigid even when it's obvious a change needs to be made. It seems so obvious when you watch Man U play. LvG is too cocky to think that quickly throwing a bunch of talent in a window on ur team will mean that the squad can play his type of football.

Dave Webb once played a match in nets for us, and kept a clean sheet. It made Sexton a lucky manager on that day.
