I couldn't think of anything less interesting than watching Man U and Arsenal beating lower league sides all the way to the final. It'll be a nice change if someone from outside the usual suspects wins it.

If it ends up been Arsenal, United or a Liverpool in the final against lower league opposition it's obvioys who wins. If its two of those three against each other it isn't obvious.

After not wanting them to go through on Friday I really hope Man Utd do now, can't imagine two teams I'd hate winning it more than Liverpool or Arsenal.

The perfect scenario is none of the above win it.....or West Ham!

I want Bradford to win...then we lost to the eventual champions.

If they beat United, Liverpool and Arsenal to get there, all the better.

Wonder if City fans are pissed off? Flying off to the Middle East for a pointless friendly in the middle of the season and arriving back in England with less than a day to go before their FA Cup game against Boro which they got trounced while playing a near full strength side

I would not be happy if that was Chelsea

I would be furious if Chelsea did that. It's shows complete disrespect to the F.A cup and the opposition.

It shows how much their club has sold out to the owners...clearly a decision made by those at the top...mind you there is a price to be paid if you benefit from fiddling ffp

Strange decision that's backfired on them. Looks a bit arrogant. Allowing no real prep time, but looks just like it was expected that they'd beat Boro' regardless.

Wonder if they'd have come back the day before if they'd been playing a prem league match.

It's just strange that a team still in 3 competitions went off for a friendly miles away rather than giving their players rest.

Did they make money from it? I don't know any details.

I imagine it was probably sponser-based. They probably got sh*t loads of money for it they can use to offset FFP.

City fan I know tells me Abu Dhabi airport is decked out in City related gear, for everything you can imagine. They've probably not got anything extra out of this. But more likely to be part of the overall 'deal'.

Some company called Etihad paid them £250m just for showing up and playing a friendly.
