When you look up at the league table every week and see Chelsea on top, I suppose it can get a bit boring.

So Van Gaal knew from the warm-up that the players weren't up for it. Isn't that part of your job? To motivate them? Is that not a tacit admission that you've failed?

 

Haven't seen the game yet but seen De Gea getting a bit of a slating off of his fans. They seem to think he's off to Real. Also seems to be a fear that Carrick is their key player which is just what you want. 

I'd worry if he's off to Real, that would mean to me that Bale is going to United.

That would be a huge one for them, he'd bring them up a few levels.

I think he's proved he is a class player it's just a case of not being trusted and being used in the correct way.

I'd imagine it would be a totally different story if it were Jose who brought him to England.

We bought Cuadrado though so I don't see us spending that kind of money again on the wings unless we plan to move Eden into a central role.

If United went for Bale and Di Maria was available for £35 million or so, then he's got to be worth a look. He's direct, he has a great touch, he puts in a good set-piece and I also think he can put in a good shift defensively.

Although Bale is proven in this league so maybe a bit easier to say that than Di Maria.

Interesting that two players who shone under Jose (Di Maria and Ozil) have struggled to reach their Real form at their new clubs. I'm convinced both would be different players if they were still working under the special one.
