April 27, 201511 yr Steven Gerrard, Gerrard, He slipped on his f*cking arse He gave it to Demba Ba Steven Gerrard, Gerrard. At this time last season those Scousers were in a pub/welcoming the team bus singing 'WE'RE GONNA WIN THE LEAGUE' Now with me being all jinx-obsessed it's probably not the best time to mock such things considering where we are at the moment, but I do feel this is an anniversary that should be remembered.
April 27, 201511 yr Just found this on the BBC website and thought it really interesting - imagine if at this stage of the season anyone could still win the league or be relegated! Now you know how we all complain that football these days is boring, the same old teams win the same old titles? Well, that ain't so in Algeria's Ligue 1. Take a gander at this... Twitter With four games to play, 11 points separate top and bottom, meaning all 16 teams can still win the title - or get relegated. The table gets weirder the more you examine it. MC Oran, for instance, are third but have scored less goals than any other side, while Bejaia have lost four of their last five but are still somehow second. The fourth-placed team, meanwhile, have a goal difference of -1. As Dizzee Rascal might put it, bonkers.

April 27, 201511 yr Haha, imagine winning the title of a 16-team division having lost seven games. Mental.

I was going to reply with a witty retort but on my way to the keyboard while I was thinking about how good my reply would be and how everyone would constantly mention this moment and how we've all waited so long for me to have this moment (I am the neutrals favourite poster, just ask any of my mates) I slipped on the way to keyboard and lost my train of thought. Probably best if I moved to America now to continue replying ;)
April 27, 201511 yr Watching MOTD2 anyone notice when Mirallas scored the third, how Lukaku looked disappointed that he didn't pass it to him? Then he didn't celebrate with him.

He looked positively gutted when Mirallas scored. Putting himself first over the team - again. I think the old offside rule should come back FWIW.

"You’re never going to beat Chelsea if you just sit back" Pretty sure Arsenal and Man United came at us, rather than sit back, and didn't win.
April 27, 201511 yr If you look at the tweet directly on Twitter the pictures realign just on the banner. It's just one of those really original and funny history comments.
April 27, 201511 yr Watching MOTD2 anyone notice when Mirallas scored the third, how Lukaku looked disappointed that he didn't pass it to him? Then he didn't celebrate with him. He wanted to score after playing so well, nothing wrong with that. I'm sure he congratulated him afterwards, camera's just didn't show it. He celebrated the first two goals so I'm not sure why people think he's only concerned with himself and not the team.

It shows a lot when your instant reaction of emotion is annoyance, rather than elation, despite your team just scoring a third against Manchester United.

It does show a lot, it shows that he really wanted to score after he worked his socks off for the team. His performance, and the fact that he celebrated the others goals, simply don't match up to what you are suggesting.
April 27, 201511 yr Bournemouth 2 nil up, could be going up. Certainly looks like it, hard to argue they haven't deserved it, and I am certainly looking forward to having some new faces in the Premier League. Who were the last team who were entirely new to the top flight to get promoted? I know Cardiff and Swansea hadn't been promoted in decades, but who were the last team who came up for the first time ever? Also I've only just discovered that Bournemouth's ground has a 12k capacity, Jesus! Edited April 27, 201511 yr by PloKoon13

Apparently they plan to leave the ground as it is for the first season in the PL; they are being careful with their money which, on balance, seems sensible.
