it's becoming increasingly clear that what Liverpool need to take them to the next stage is a long arduous Europa League campaign with Thursday night trips to Kazahkstan and Turkey followed by Sunday away games at Man City and us. That'll help build the character that's been missing ever since United walked all over them at Anfield.

 

Brendan's the man for this, I wish him well.

I just don't get why he insists on tempting fate so often. He calls himself a tactical genius and then loses to Hull. I don't know why he keeps doing it.

The FA Cup really is becoming increasingly irrelevant compared to where it was 20 years ago. 

 

You now have a final that kicks off at 17:30 but doesn't get the build-up it once did, in a stadium that is the most soulless of soulless bowls which is guaranteed to look empty at the start of the second-half because 30,000 of the seats have gone to people who probably don't give a f**k about the match and won't contribute to the atmosphere and now you're renaming it.

 

I don't feel anything about not being in the final and I'd quite happily see us put out a youth team next season. Probably won't even watch the match.
