May 1, 201511 yr It is respected, like I said we all know what he is capable of. His temperament on the other hand is a true weakness. Jose has gone in bust ups but it isn't the same thing. Arsene Wenger has good temperament for example, the amount of sh*t he's took over the years yet he still hasn't given up. Guardiola in my opinion would crumble under that pressure, like he did at Barcelona with all the mind games. He looks a nervous wreck at Bayern now. His antics say a lot, he is easily worried. Wenger's lost it on the sidelines how many times? Jose, Pardew, Jol? I don't think his temperament is questionable. He's a bad loser, but most winners are. If he came here then his team would be a danger and I think his 'antics' are overblown.
May 1, 201511 yr The biggest problem with him is not that he's a bad loser. It's that he's a bad loser and still always tries to portray himself as a saint giving a holier than thou attitude. One of football's worst hypocrits.

You clearly didn't see Guardiola wanting to kill someone after an injury then despite already winning the title this season. It is questionable when he lost to Mourinho due to mind games despite getting the edge over him in games.
May 1, 201511 yr http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/arsene-wenger-jose-mourinho-needs-to-show-more-respect-after-arsenal-title-jibe-10218035.html As far as I'm concerned he lost the right to any respect from Jose when he accused him of being scared of failure and pushed him without any subsequent apology. Bitter, twisted, deluded man. And Jose's 'jibe' about Arsenal going out of the CL to Monaco was again in response to a jibe from the Whinger about it being easy to defend - to which Jose said that if it was, Arsenal wouldn't have lost at home to Monaco. Shut up Whinger!
May 1, 201511 yr RE: Spudulike - Agreed that there's not been much of a challenge, not in the second half of the season at least. Bear in mind that after the debacle WHL we were only ahead of Man City on goal difference. But since they have fallen away neither Arsenal nor United have challenged us much at all, they simply dropped too many points up til Christmas even though both have been in good to great form since the New Year. Next season will be very interesting. At this point I'd be inclined to say that Arsenal will be the greatest threat, providing they address a few key positions (GK, CB, DM and arguably a top quality CF). I then see United after them, they will spend big again but will need to do so more wisely than last summer. I still think they have quite a lot of work to do in order to build a sufficient squad to cope with all four competitions, and I'm not sure if one Summer will be enough. I may prove to be wrong on this but I personally don't see City as being that great of a threat to the title this next season. I can see 6/7 players leaving and therefore a similar number coming in, and generally after so much change in the transfer market it takes time for to develop a cohesive side. Just look at Spurs in the season after Bale went, or Chelsea after the CL win. Add to that their ageing, injury prone core of key players and they could really struggle next year. Again, this is pure speculation but it wouldn't surprise me to see them sell Yaya whilst he still has some residual market value. And who knows who the manager will be? So much uncertainty surrounding City for next season. Edited May 1, 201511 yr by Celery1989
May 1, 201511 yr I really think the City squad thing has been way overhyped. They have ageing players yes but they don't become bad overnight, personally I feel a new manager would sort City out.

I think you're right. The way I look at it is if Jose was in charge at City, Arsenal or United they would have won the league - truth is he is a cut above, still a Special One

So much uncertainty surrounding City for next season. I agree with your thoughts. Another issue is how much stronger will Chelsea be? If Jose can add two or three quality players and give depth to the squad, CFC will be a daunting prospect next season. I don't know what's gone on at City. Too little consistency manager-wise must be a factor. I'd need to see Arsenal keeping getting better and playing a more pragmatic game before I am sure they can start and maintain a challenge next season.

May 1, 201511 yr Can anyone explain to me why there is a "race" to sign Danny Ings from Burnley and why Man United would be interested? I can see Liverpool going for him because they don't know what to do next but surely United's sights are set a bit higher than Ings.

May 1, 201511 yr Pelegrini call us a small team with good players. If we're small, what the f**k are they? Just as with Wenger's 'boring' comment, I don't think this one is worth taking personally. Two managers who realise they have been absolutely schooled in the league are taking parting shots, it's not really that surprising, it's just a form of excuse-making or a way to belittle our achievements, it's entirely meaningless. Petty as the labels they are trying to stick us with may be, there is only one that matters and they both know it: champions. Probably not worth going on about, just like the 'boring boring Chelsea' stuff - starve them of the oxygen of publicity, etc.
May 1, 201511 yr I love how Pellegrini says they did the same as us this season but in a different way, like it was better. They edged the title win on the final day, we have led from day one.

I wouldn't want to be in Murphy's shoes if they ever meet in a dark alleyway. Pat Murphy's a top journalist. I actually thought the journalist was unprofessional. Managers only do these press conferences because they have to, journalist should be grateful they are getting anything to write about. The guy was lucky that he wasn't told to f**k off, It's what i would have said to him. But if he had done that, the F.A would probably have charged him. It annoys me really because journalists are untouchable, they can do and say whatever they want without any consequences. They make up lies and twist things just to get a reaction or make people look bad. And they all do it too, there ain't many good journalists at all. They are smug, lying, arrogant, assholes. So yeah, as you can tell, i don't like journalists
